tell us something most of us don't already know. Pretty much all of your information can be found on the internet. Your first post is a pretty bold entry into the replica forums and your claims are pretty much common knowledge, save for a few exceptions which were already pointed out.

Which reminds me of a story of an "claimed" expert in a totally unrelated field to reps, who wrote expert reviews and articles on a very escoteric subject, only to have found later to have gotten all his information from his best friend named Google.

I don't mean to patronize your comments, but I'd more believe T4D's expertise than someone who parachutes in with such claimed knowlege. If I am mistaken about your experience, then only time will tell, and I will be the one who is the ignorant one.

Welcome to the forum, UKASIA.

To be honest, your article sounded to me a bit like the virgin teaching others about birthgiving.

I'd rather rely on people that have received feedback here on their transactions. Proves them right. Not to say, that you are wrong, though, but your article is very general and - to me - of little substance. But then I am a humble noob.

Kind regards,
Dr.verylong

In these parts everyone thinks you are wearing a copy anyway so my attitude was why not .
That is BS. Asian people are actually very good at telling reps from the real thing, (I wonder why),

Im just playing here - but could't resist the comment -

The REASON there are so many gens on Asian peoples wrists is cos they make so much money producing reps they can AFFORD the gens, hahahaha :)

(Actually its probably cos most of the buggers work so hard) 8)

WELCOME TO RWI

To me nothing new in this post and you got a lot of comments already on it.
It is a summary of several other postings in here.

I have 2 remarks regarding your post, beeing to the factories and about the A7750. But you got the comments already.

OooooH! thank you for all that valuable info and for seting us all straight, how lucky are we to have you on board, NOT!

So the A7750 is no good? You just blew your cred right there buddy. I'd tend to pull your head in just a little mate. The folk here are not quite as missinformed as you may think. There are many here who know GZ well, better than you from the sounds of it. So far the missinformed one appears to be you! "Factory access," yeah, right.

I'm joining the list of people calling Bravo Sierra on this as well.... I'll admit that I was excited at the idea as I read the first paragraph or so, but quickly came to the conclusion that anyone who has spent a couple of hours reading these fora could have written that post.

I think trailboss99 said it best:

UKASIA,
Congratulations on your first post.
I have read this forum for a while before joining but, never have I seen a first time poster manage to offend as many people at one time as you have. I want to congratulate you on this feat.

Thank you for posting. Before you we were all blind, but now we see. Thank you all mighty UKASIA... thank you.

Thank you UKASIA. I will now have to get rid of all my reps. I thought they were all made in Switzerland and since many of my working 7750 reps are a year old, they are way overdue for a breakdown. I too buy replicas to secure the look of the real thing.

Can you let me know the best source for an a$$hat? Preferably Swiss. I don't want one of those Chinese pieces of junk with no attention to detail.

After I posted last night, I have been thinking-

UKASIA=Troll I doubt we will ever see him again, under that user name.

If I am incorrect, UKASIA can correct me when he comes back.

I think the most surprising thing about this thread is how offended most of the members were. When I read it a few days ago I thought, not totally accurate but certainly harmless. I still find this to be my reaction to it, but some of you seem downright incensed by the post. I do not disagree with your reaction to it, I am just a little surprised. This forum has a very low tolerance for poorly thought out posts.

The progress of this thread amuses me...

When UKAsia first made this post (withing minutes), I pulled it and put it away for the admin/mod team to discuss and digest. There was a little bit of discussion and opinions were fairly divided. Some thought it was an innocent attempt to "instantly" fit in by him simply regurgitating information that he had snapped up from other parts of the forum.

While others felt it was an attempt to gain credibility and do some back-door dealing. I took more issue with the fact that his opinions of the a7750 were flawed and that his arrogance was comic. I have spoken to dealers about the factories, and most of them have such limited access to these places that I felt it was pretty un-likely that a non dealing "hobbyist" would have such easy access.

I sent him a PM telling him that the post HAD NOT been deleted, and that it was being reviewed. He replied a few times asking why, I explained and then he again replied with rebuttals to my opinion. This lasted a few days, and then nothing...
I dont know if he simply decided that his agenda was not going to work here, or if he was offended by the idea that his information and opinions had been called in to question.

In either case, when I saw the post had been released I was really curious as to what the membership would think... and now that Ive seen the reactions, I think its even more funny!

I agree with you BR. I think the big problem was posting for the first time with a modicum of courtesy or overall respect to the forum. Certainly not the best way to start off as a new member. Shouldnt take it too seriously, afterall it is only a replica watch forum.

Oh well, UK the welcome mat is still out for ya. :D

I agree Cybee. The overall tone is very pompous, but one really never knows the spirit in which some posts are written. I agree I have found the whole thread amusing. I think the best part of this forum is how differently we can sometimes view a particular subject, you gotta love it. As stated above, UKAsia, do not think you are not welcome here, but you will find some strong reactions to some comments here. We are as a group, mostly bark and very little bite.

You beat me to it. I too was surprised that some were so put off by his "pompousness"...almost to the point of being pompous themselves. I'm sure he did not mean any harm, if his intentions to inform were legitimate. If his intentions were to be a backdoor seller, he chose the wrong forum as there are too many knowledgeable people here to fall for that. I also disagree that he has been reading this forum for some time and decided to regurgitate what he read. From his post, it is obvious that he DID NOT bother to read before posting as he would have seen that the content of his post has either been written before and/or debated before (ie....the merits of the a7750 movement).

I guess he is gone but it would have been nice if he would have stayed and defended his post....perhaps he may have been able to drum up some nuggets of information that could have been useful

This guy can now safely pass a bowling ball with this thorough reaming. :p

Sigh. Okay, this is now moved to Flame-free. You know, when I said to make the new member feel welcome, I had something a little less scathing in mind. Ironically, he was better off when we thought he was a scammer and backdoor dealer.

Look, I understand that no one likes to feel talked down to, and that most of the information he posted is nothing new to us. BUT please bear in mind that he THOUGHT that he was giving us something useful that we did not know, and that his intentions were to try to help out the membership.

So I am not locking this thread, just in case the OP would like to respond (and if he does, I applaud his courage), or in case someone would like to post something appropriate to a new member.

If you only want to tell him how arrogant and pompous he is, I think that he's probably got the message. So no more insults and no more a**hat pictures. You guys are posting the equivalent of a bunch of second graders ganging up on the new kid with glasses who doesn't know how the rules work.

At this point, I'd take pompous a**hat over classless bullies. So play nice, please. This is a community and I would like it to be one that we can be proud of.

Thanks.
