Hi all,
The Breitling Skyland Avenger came just 2 weeks ago from d4me, and I'm very happy I finally pulled a trigger on this one. This is the gray dial v3 version, with a7750 movement. This is one impressive watch, it's hefty enough to favor the arm you're wearing it.
B16a2 and meyer888 had an extensive Skyland photo shoot and has raved about how good the quality of this rep. Mine's no exception!
The fit is finish of this watch is just amazing, this is by far the best $180 I've spent on a rep. This version came with a nice rep rubber strap with a breitling buckle, which is quite long for my small 6.25'' wrist. I had to replace the rubber strap with an Ocean racer strap that has an adjustable deployant clasp. The double AR coating is very nice, it's not too blue and it does it's job to eliminate reflections in the glass. The lume dots are spot on and the rep lume is good. The caseback of this watch is as accurate as it can be, the serial number is aligned properly with the model number.
One thing I noticed about this copy is that the rotor spins when I wind the watch. I think there were discussions about this spinning rotor here that I just couldn't find yet. I'm tempted to bring the watch to a watchsmith to let him have a look at the movement, but I'm having second thoughts since the watch is keeping perfect time and the power reserve is good. As the saying goes, 'if it ain't broke why fix it'. Unless, the spinning rotor this is a sign of bad things to happen to the a7750... (i hope not ).
Here's the picts, hope you enjoy it as much as i do. Picts taken using a Nikon D80 dSLR by the window.
Best regards,
