Hi there,

I am looking for a Bell & Ross BR 01 92 Limited Edition Automatic Blue Carbon mens watch.

Basically as near to the real watch as possible....all correct markings, actual screws on the back of the watch including the real 4 screws in the 4 corners on the back of the watch and the screw under DO NOT OPEN....correct spec details on the back of the watch....most exact one out there.

I am not after a cheap copy...I want to wear it day in day out and have the watch last a long time.

46mmx46mm
All Carbon black in colour
Black Rubber band correctly cut no off cuts on the band.
Automatic sweeping second hand
Correct weight, feel and look of watch
Blue Markings
Lume hands

I know there are excellent B&R replicas out there.....

Here is the exact watch.

Where can get this? And how much should I be paing for it?

Thanks.

The new cases (with removable lugs) are pretty hard to come by right now. The regular dealers that I buy from are all out of stock. Speculation was that they had an original run and when those sold out really quickly, they moved on to making the chronograph.
I have not yet seen one on the second hand market either, as I have been looking pretty carefully.
If you can get past the removable lugs, there are plenty of pretty nice ones out there. Just dont expect alot from ANY of them in the lume department.

Best bet is to mod it yourself. OR get an 03 series that is void of caseback screws. Its 42 mm and wears easy on the wrist. I have modded an 01-92 rep with my own lug screws, PVD and gen strap along with a custom Lume job and it total it was over $600.00 for the whole thing.

I agree with you about the removable lugs... I cannot get past that either. I have had a couple and sold them off because that missing feature annoyed me. Once I have the correct one, I will most likely NEVER remove the screws or lugs... But damn it I want to know that if I should feel the urge too... I CAN!
I was quoted a price of just under $250 for the one with removable lugs and a swiss movement. BUT, I was too late. By the time I went to place the order, they were not available any longer.
I have since found that MANY dealers have them listed as available, but when they go to actually source it they cannot.
Best bet is to hold out. Once the hoopla is over concerning the chrono, they will most likely go back to the non chrono.

Watchbuff, your a nut... An ingenious one, but a nut none the less! That watch is amazing!

U were lied to about a swiss movement. No swiss movements to my knowledge exist in rep BR's They are usally DG 4813 or other variants of movements.

There is a new rep floating around out there of an 01-94 with a 7750 auto with caseback screws. The price is a bit over my rep-limit:

I think after a dose at the lumer she would be nice though.

I was told that a 2824 version was available in very limited quantity. When that was not available, I would have happily accepted a 4813. But that was not available either. Its entirely possible that I was lied to, but if I were... it was only because the dealer was lied to. The dealer in question knows damn well that I would have opened it and checked as I do with all of my watches.

The 01-94 is nice... but again, there are some unfixable issues with it and the price is a little steep for what it is.

I agree with you....Watchbuff knows his stuff.....and to mod a watch yourself takes skill.....

Can you recommend one of the best B&R reps......and how much should I pay?

What is it that you see flawed with the PT 01-94. The biggest flaow with the 01-92's with the caseback screws were the engraving said 01-94!!!!!

The subdial spacing looks correct but for $328 and the spray on black paint they call PVD and the no or low lume is a tough sell.

No flaws from me....absolutel ygorgeous....but as you say after the mods your getting near $500.....ouch for a rep....ouch.

Question though....does the 01-94 chrono have a screw in crown as the rep looks like it has.

Everest does lume. Not sure who would pvd such a small item. The watch has to be totally dissasembled. U up for that?
Putting it back together could pose some issues if u DIY. Trust me on this.

Depends how busy he is. Mine was 3 weeks. He does water testing as part of the lume work.
