Hi there,

I know this is utterly ridiculous and certainly "nerdy" but I ordered a few watchboxes just to check quality out and maybe fill my part of the walk-in closet. They arrived a few weeks ago and I thought I would post a few pics. I started off with a Panerai pearwood box:

But since the real cost of these boxes lie in the shipping I might as well throw in a couple more, so I continued with an...

If they could just replicate the watches as well as they do the boxes and paperwork...
VERY nice, especially the Omega!

...I´m gonna stop buying watches, and gonna buy a box for each of my actual watches from now on.
Then, I´ll buy more boxes for my future watches, and after that, I´ll hunt for the desired watches to fill in those boxes.

This is just too awesome to let pass, congratulations! It´s a must on any watchlover collection!!! [smilie=angel10.gif]

Cheers,
Spirit.

EDIT> By the way...where are the pics for the PANERAI booklet and papers? DO WANT! :D

Are the hangtags included in the watchboxes?

Sorry Spirit, no booklet or anything included in the PAM box. :) But, screwdriver and extra strap (choice of leather or rubber) was in the box! The carbon fibre in the pics is from Panatime. Funny thing, now you mention it, is that I actually am thinking about buying 3 new boxes, an Ebel, a Ferrari and a Chanel J12, because I am planning to buy those 3 watches. Stupid, I know.

@Madcat: Yep, hangtags were included. Everything in the pics, except for watches and that carbon fibre strap was included. Hangtags, price tags, warranty cards, chronometer certificate cards, instruction booklets. Note the really thick Omega booklet - hilarious! Also, not in the pics, were quite high quality outer cardboard boxes. Great value for money if you ask me. My wife wasn't so thrilled, the Omega box was a bit off in colour compared to other stuff in the closet... :)

...No booklet or anything on the PAM box other than the strap and screwdriver??!? Strange...thought it would come with a small booklet and a warranty card just like the TAG, at least.

You´ve got a PM, my friend!

Cheers,
:D

I ordered that same box last year and it did come with a booklet and reg card, but they were so bad that they were thrown away. Everything else was such good quality, but they couldn't do some decent printing.
I will say it again, that Omega set is incredible... I just looked at a gen box set I have (same model) and its identical in every way... Maybe some of the printing is a little better on the gen, but they sure had gen parts to copy!

Aaaaaaaarrrrg! Guess what? Of course there were booklet, guarantee certificates etc included! I got these boxes a few weeks ago, unwrapped them and put them in the closet. Forgot that I had put the extra stuff in the bottom of the box. :? Anyway, here are the pics! Thanks for reminding me guys! :D @CBR: The printing isn't too bad really.

looks good, but I cannot justfy to go out now and buy 42 boxes.
But maybe I should get 1 PAM ,1 Rolex and 1 HBB box. I got a Breitling, 2 Tag Heuer and the Channel J12.

BTW.....the ladies J12 comes with the box

Got these from aoobuy. Robbie is great doing business with, takes PP, but is NOT AN APPROVED DEALER here! Ok? Not an approved dealer etc etc, so forth and so on. :)

The boxes are rediculously inexpensive, yes really, they are, but the shipping is quite costly since the boxes are quite heavy. A big chunk of the shipping is the "starting cost", so it is worth while ordering several at a time. The shipping cost by EMS (to Europe) is $18 for the first 0.5kg, and then $5 for each additional 0.5kg. The PAM box weighs 1.6 kg, the Omega 1.0kg and the Tag 0.6kg. In all I paid $86 for the boxes + $48 for the shipping and an additional 6% for paying with PayPal. Robbie has a few other alternative pament methods but it may be worth those extra %.

Go, go, go!!! :D

The one you chose are nicely finished (I own them too :D)
I agree, the Omega is a bit too orange.

But it's not the case with all. I'm quite regularly buying rep boxes (when impossible to get gens on *bay), but half of what I get is crap or have defects.
I buy them for decoration purpose, I feel it's nice to have some in my collection, together with pictures or these things. Looks good in the showroom.
It does not need to be 1 per watch, otherwise indeed you quickly face a lack of room. I try to get one per brand : it gives good results on pics ;)
The Panerai box is very nice IMO.
The best I got is the black IWC box (the white is pure crap) and the latest Breitling box (with leather type pouch inside.)

Our dealers usually overprice the boxes. Either you have to try to negociate (with the purchase of a watch), or indeed just go to Aoobuy (I never tried) which several members have tested. They're cheap on boxes and low-end reps. For the high quality reps, I don't see any advantage buying from them.

Maybe it would be nice to have them approved on RWI ?

Maybe there should be an "in between group", not approved but not on the scam list either. A subforum where we can write reviews on different sellers without being chopped to pieces just because they are not approved dealers here. But this has probably been discussed before and decided it was not a good idea...

Aoobuy is great for any replicas; clothes, watch boxes, belts etc. I never bought a watch from him though, but look at his big bangs, they have the correct rotor bearing and micro regulator and correct engraving, he sells the equivalent of a fully modded HBB for 300usd, worth a try in my book. (since i know he is realiable for the other stuff)

I've had good luck with Aobuy, except that the watch details are always a little different than the photo they show on the website. But you can't beat the pricing!
