The "maybe" trusted sellers?

Hi there

As a Noob, I wonder about some of the sellers often positiv refered to in the forum, but not on the "trustet" list. I'm thinking about names like PC (Josh), Trusty and Eurotimez (may be more), a lot of members have made good deals with these sellers, and they seems more or less acceptet, but aren't on the list. How come?

Cheers

See can of worms...
Identify said can of worms as actually being a can of worms...
See can opener...
Make determination as to if the said can opener should be used to open previously seen can of works...
Put can opener back in drawer and throw away can of worms...
Any questions?

Trusty and PC were stripped of their dealerships for price fixing and intimidating other sellers. I don't know Eurotimez. Welcome to the boards by the way.

Re: The "maybe" trustet sellers?

Hi Budo,

I too asked a question, made a comment that I was 'chastised' (told of my mistake in an informal way like "all noobs should have to read the new members section before being allowed to access the site" or something to that effect) for.

If you read the NEW MEMBERS-WELCOME CENTER - START HERE! you will find the answers you are looking for. If you use the search facility you will get your answers. You need to be specific or you will get a lot of hits.

I understand the frustration of the moderators for all us noobs asking questions allready here. I also know as moderators they are basicially the leaders of the forum and as such have an intense role of looking after 000's of members.

I love this website and it has helped me incredibly. I have placed an order with bklm1234 and am very happy with his professionalism. Sometimes asking questions via pm directly with some members is of more benifit for the answers you are looking for. Before asking though do a thorough search and try to find the answers yourself.

Re: The "maybe" trustet sellers?

Thanks doctorron, a simple answer to a simple question.

parafund, thanks for the noob support, I was counting on some hits and the classics (New member sektion and search), so I'm not hurt

I was looking for some historical background info on a couple of not RWI supported sellers, that the veterans on this fine site often refers to. Maybe I overlooked it in the New member sektion (I just went through it again, and I still can't find the info doctorron just gave me) or maybe I didn't use the search funktion right (only with help of the info doctorron gave me, I found the thread).

What I'm trying to say, is that in the information oceans of RWI, a noob sometimes need a little help, insted of being told to "find it yourself!".

Thanks for helping and thanks for a great forum. Maybe one day it's me, giving the vet answer "try New member sektion and search" :D

Welcome, budo. You got the trial by fire method, and kudos to you for coming out of it still standing and with some dignity intact. Maybe you'll take it easy on some noob someday, and they'll be grateful for your patience.

That being said, despite the grouchy mod team (I have my days too :)) I hope that you enjoy your time on the forum. Pretty much everything you could hope to know is here somewhere. There are things here too, that you don't want to know. But you'll read it anyway. You won't be able to help yourself. :D

Thanks for the welcomming.

You know, when you sign up in a forum like this, with a lot of dedicatet people, all you can do is educate yourself (New member sektion and Fakemasters Noob guide et al.), but the chances are, that you sooner or later post a classic noob question. It looks like I did it sooner :D

Cheers guys

Welcome mate. To answer your Jandrew Sisters (that's Josh and Andrew BTW) question try a search with the term "cartel". That should answer that one.
As for Eurotimez, I belive they were a probationary dealer here for a while but they appear to be having some serious quality control issues ATM.

Re: The "maybe" trustet sellers?

budo, you survived the initiation test!

Let me apologize for the sarcastic comments; it's a direct result of having hundreds of new members asking about websites that they have just ordered from and are now getting cold feet. Your question was quite reasonable IMHO.

Just saw Trailboss answered before I could get in. He is quite correct.

Welcome, Budo!
Trailboss and Phicks (2 really great guys) beat me to the nice warm and friendly answer.
Come of the other guys (no less great guys and invaluable to this forum) get worn down by the same questions year after year after year.
The cartel is one to avoid for a myriad of reasons. I personally ordered from Chris at Eurotimez recently. It was the only time I've received a defective watch, but Chris handled it in a very professional and prompt manner (he actually posted my replacement watch before I had a chance to get to the post office to return his - most dealers won't do that!), and made everything extremely right.
So other than that, just read a lot and ask questions whenever you need help or advice.
Glad you're here!! :D
