Got my Frogman (Valjoux) and it's SWEET :!:

It's only a steal with the cashback. The transaction has yet to be posted in my Bing account. So it's a $895 watch to this point.

I am working with Bing/Microsoft to resolve it. So far, this is not a perfect process.

More later.

yeah,, there seems to be an exact process, go to bing,, go to the shops through bing,, sign in at that point then make the purchase.. you have to be careful for sure.

I would return the watch soon if they jerk you around more.

I'm keeping the watch. It's fabulous (see my post in GUGs.)

Bing has the cashback accounted for now, and it is classified as "pending" for sixty days. Call it an escrow account. If I was a weasel, I might try to get the cash and return the watch. Funny, though, how 21 days becomes 60 :!:

Unfortunately, Canadians cant cash in on this deal! They dont allow us canadians to have bing accounts from what I read, US only. Sucks to be us but out country is better so I still count it as a win...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I *thought* I read in the Terms of Service.

that's what u get for continuing to lying to yourselves and the world about your "bacon" ..
we've tried to be nice and tell you its not bacon .. at best its cut ham thats slightly hard and salty ..

and now .. after much suffering we have decided to ban Canada and its fake bacon from Bing - - It was the only logical choice

A full week after my order Bing indeed confirms that it's a qualified purchse, but The Watchery still has not processed the order.

"We're very busy Sir." [click]

They have no idea the depth of my patience...

It wouldn't surprise me if Ashford's has yet to report my transaction to Bing, even though they hit my AmEx before they shipped the watch. I sent copies of the invoice and acknowledgment to the Bing CS guy, which resulted in my cashback balance being created.

Come to think of it, maybe that's why it's "pending" rather than available. Oh, well. The watch is mine, and things are moving forward.

Hang in there, Cap'n :)

OK, 7th, but how can we defend "American cheese"? It's not really cheese, is it? In fact, I'm afraid to ask what the hell it's made from

My thought on things labelled "process cheese food" is that if you have to tell me it's food... it's probably not.

Turns out...the ESQ/Movado Blackfin showed up in my mailbox today!

It's a little bit like a Bell and Ross hoooked up late one Saturday night with a Rolex DSSD, and this is the resulting offspring.

ps..

how does this work w/ bing ?

Anyone wana break down the steps for me
:)

Start here: http://www.bing.com

Register.

Select your retailer from the provided list. Enter that site FROM BING. Shop as you normally would.

Here's where it gets tricky: Apparently your retailer must report your transaction to Microsoft (no surprise, really). Follow up with Bing to make sure your account gets credited appropriately. When I asked Bing where my credit was, they asked for documentation. They accepted it and gave me conditional credit. Read my other posts in this thread.

Another thing: BIng's retailer list can be sorted by discount offered and by name.

Hope this helps. Now go shoppin' :D

Anybody actually get their transaction with the Watchery to show up with their Bing Shopping account?

It's not in my account, it's not in the "pending" file, it's nowhere to be seen. And strangely enough... The Watchery can't find information about my order. Hmmmm... seems a little bit strange.

Going to have to track down a CC transaction number to get them to give me any information about the order, so I can get that to Bing so they can see if they can track down "if it was a qualified purchase or not".

Hey Cap'n: I see that The watchery pulled their discount back to 10%. Bummer.

I did my deal with Ashford's. Regardless, the fine print required that you go to the store through Bing. If you did that, you may be OK. I have a big chunk of change cited as "pending" and won't be "available" until 10/17. Oh, well. That's why Bill Gates is a zillionaire!

Best of luck.
