Classy.

I don't suppose that term came up in any of the eulogies today.

Not unless "the waitress" is on the guest list. Hehe.

Mary Jo Kopechne's family is probably not invited to the funeral either...

Brian Cowen, An Taoiseach of Ireland said today, "America has lost a great and respected statesman and Ireland has lost a long-standing and true friend"

Who writes this bullshit.

I think you're reading that quote incorrectly. Exportation of Irish whiskey and Guinness to Senator Kennedy's residence comprised nearly 15% of the Irish economy. Ireland will truly miss him. ;)

What makes a sinner a sinner?

C'mon. :)

Yes, the frat boy mentality in the Senate really took hits when the Gary Hart/Chappaquiddick/Wilbur Mills/Judith Exner stuff started coming out.
That and the whole aborted ERA thing really but the kabosh on such public
boorishness.

But that's all before any of your times. Some advantages being older but not yet old.

WOW, Im a little surprised at the direction of this thread. Regardless of his faults, he has been an elected member of the US Senate for over 40 years... Obviously SOME people felt he was worthy of the position.

Republicans have no brains. Democrats have no balls.

Ted Kennedy was a dem with giant balls.

RIP Ted Kennedy. Right wing lunatics are celebrating your death, and left wing lunatics are celebrating your accomplishment. I love my country.

apparently is is very fashionable to dog a dead man that done more for this nations poor and working class than the rest of our elected leaders put together.

yeah, they are right, anybody that would help those kind of people sucks more than any thing has sucked in the history of sucking.

it is surprising to me how little people know about his accomplishments, i would be ashamed. with that said, being able to believe what you want and speak out for your beliefs is one of the things that makes this country great!

Sigh. Shame people always make it political. :?

When you're talking about a lifelong public servant and politician it only seems reasonalbe to "make it political" but the shame is people have to drag things into the mud. Sigh indeed.

... I couldn't agree more with those sentiments.
