New to the hobby, new to the forum, obligatory post to say hello. :D

I'm really looking forward to participating; I have never seen a forum where so many posters follow basic grammar and spelling rules. This kinda' stuff makes me happy. ;)

Regards all,
Chad

Hey, great to have you here. I like proper spelling and grammar too. And um, I occasionally fix other people's posts for them. It's a disease. :)

Look up COLDI, one of the other members here. He's the regional leader for your area and might be able to help you get to know your way around, plus he can let you know if he's planning a get together any time soon.

I wish! I have to tell myself that the forum is not work. :)

I check everyone's spelling and grammar as part of my job.

Maybe I'll break down one of these days on the forum and forget I am not at work.

I check everyone's spelling and grammar as part of my obsessive-compulsive behavior. :D

Welcome to the board, Chad!
Keep in mind that not all members of this forum are completely fluent in english; you're bound to see a lot of typos, spelling errors, and engrish-type grammar.

Have fun posting, but read Fakemaster's FAQ and n00b guide before you do!

I'm not worried about non-native-English speakers. It's the ones that should know better that get me fired up! If a person was born, raised and educated in the U.S. (AND uses the Internet) then they should know the difference between 'their/they're/there' and 'your/you're'!

A few of my friends tell me I'm obsessive/compulsive, but I say I'm just obsessive - I'm too lazy to be compulsive!

It looks like it was a good idea for me to post my state; I hope to be an active member around here.

You know like there are different like countries that consider English like their native language, eh? ;)

Oh well and while we're discussing this interesting topic of English language, I might add that there is a considerable amount of individuals I know who don't think the language spoken in the US is to be considered 'English' really.
