Hi guys,

Recently received a Milgauss with green mineral crystal from WE.

Does anybody know if the AR is on the surface of the crystal or inside? I am asking this because on the first day of wearing the watch, I scratched it already. Was thinking of buffing it out but SURFACE AR would rule that out.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

that watch doesn't have ar coating, no rolex does. if you are talking about the color of the crystal i have no idea how that is done. if it is green glass you have no worries but if it is coated on the outside to make it look green then it would be a problem.

The green effect is done with green film on the inside of the glass.

well looking at the new factory ones we have at the moment. Best way to describe the crystal is like a pair of reactalite sunglasses for the most part it is clear as soon as it gets bright light or sunlight it takes on a green hue then back to clear as soon as the bright light is gone. It's not like any AR I have ever seen but I am almost sure it's in the crystal rather than on it

thats a bummer, i hate scratches. i think i will always pay that lil bit more for sapphire on a watch just for durability. i try my hardest to be aware theres a watch on my wrist but more often than not, it finds it way to bangin on something! its like a magnet to metal objects for some reason...

As I said, the Milgauss has a green flim on the inside of the crystal. The pics below are taken from a members thread on RG:

It looks like a green crystal holding ring.

It looks like the latest version of 1:1 milgauss comes with double AR
I got my mine with sapphire(at least that is what the dealer told me)glass. after less than a month of usage, I realise the surface is full of scratches. It dont look like scratches on the glass, thus I think is the coating that has been scratched

Anyone face the same problem?

guess is the correct sapphire glass, just that the AR coating get scratched easily.

Will look out for ways to get rid of it myself. I think single coating should have quite good reflective effect as well
