Finally, my 1st rep purchase and quite a worthwhile process.

Hont is excellent as a dealer but a bit disappointed with the QC.

There are some nicks on the Top Gun and some flaws on the C1 rubber bezel.

If anyone can advise on how it can be rectified, it is greatly appreciated.

cheers.

Congratulations on your first REPS - the first ones are always the best though sorry to hear about the QC problems.

What versions are these two watches? I can't quite tell from the pics.

The C1 is the 21600 version and the top gun is the v2 I think.

Is that a pit in the top gun? Or a ding/nick?

The other watch, it is too complicated to replicate well I would think. The more flashy stuff besides standard chronos/movements, are tough to replicate well.

But I would still be a bit disappointed also.

Let us know how this works out, what did the reseller say?

There are 2 nicks on the top gun. One on the front bezel and the other on the back of the watch. The back nick is obvious.

For the C1, the rubber is not glued properly and have some "cracks". This is quite obvious and it is visible even to a layman. Showed it to my wife (not a person particular on watches) and she noticed it immediately.

Hont said that these are replicas are thus not 100% accurate to the gen, which I agree, but I think the flaws are just too much to bear (even for a layman).

Hont has advised to sent them back to him and he would offer an exchange or refund. I have shipped them back to him today and am asking for an exchange.

Will update how it turns out.

I guess if you itended to buy a watch with some nicks you would have said that when placing the order....

Hi guys, an update to the situation.

Just to mention that Hont has been really great in the whole process. He is busy most of the time but usually reply within a day or 2 after my mails, inconsideration to the other requests that he receives in a day. :)

I sent both watches back to him and am asking for replacements for a Blacksteel v2 and top gun.

The Blacksteel looks ok from the pics that he sent. :)

Hont has been trying to find the replacement for the top gun but twice I spotted some flaws in the watch again. Dings and nicks on the ceramic case again. It makes me wonder if the case is really ceramic as ceramic is supposedly much harder.

Is it me or does anyone else who has the top gun had similar problems?

hm......

Hi guy,
just received the 3rd top gun pics from Hont and guess what. There are still dings on the case.....

I am giving up the top gun.

Sad to say that I am really disappointed with this rep that has so much positive reviews.

Hi guys,
an update to the situation.

I did not complete the buying process for the Top gun or replaced it with any other watch. I got a refund.

A bit disappointed but guess that's life.

Hont is absolutely 1st class in the process and highly recommended even though the deal did not go thru.

He has got to be one of the best if not the best dealer around. :)

i got a top gun from ruby, exterior wise it's perfect. but the chrono seems to have a little problem. i click once it starts, but when i click it again it usually doesn't stop, unless you click the reset button before clicking the start/stop button.

the same problem exists for my friend's 3717.

but i'm too lazy to send it back. it looks nice, and i rarely use it anyway. i can live with this problem. it is a replica afterall.
