thx to all...but what about my question about the clasp? can somebody say anythink to this please! klick this link and look at the innerside of the clasp so that you can see the engraving (the rolex sing) http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=1217
i see it all time only lasert but this is graving right?! is it very new or is it a old story for you guys?

I am not really sure which one is correct (Laser or Engraved). What I like to do is look at the genuine to compare. The link you posted looks to be the newest version. Maybe an expert can chime in your question. :D

i see it already on a many real rolex!! it is only deep engraving( background sould be matt)!!!! on the reps i only see laser untill now...so many very bad clasp is see sometime its on the wrong spot and sometime very small^^ just horror :) but this musst be very new!
it was time to do this!... if you look on a see dweller its more black and looks more real but the only thing is it is also not engrave! but it is the way it should be looking

i am all time look for the little things that it is right!^^ als if you look at my dila from my sub. hast the right S (on submariner) it look like a twisted Z the S is not round like many dials to!!! and this is wrong on speciely this modell(just look at the katalog rolex seite 67 it has the same S!) on the sub.lv or older subs you hat the normal S ;) also all A on rolex must be flat on top not peaked! its my hobby^^ so i search for the best hehe

If you plan on ordering it anyway, I would inquire with the dealer about what you are looking for specifically. That way you can be sure. :D

I have a feeling this member is going to keep asking the same question until he gets the answer he likes.
There is as far as I know only one factory that are still engraving the clasps but I am pretty sure they only produce the submariner with the ceramic bezel and the GMT11.
I think later Rolex themselves are etched rather than engraved on some models which ones I honestly haven't taken that much notice of.
I have had only one buyer in the last 2 years who was obsessed by the engraving inside the clasp and rather than get involved I prefered not o sell to them

i am not sure if this will help you or not. this is a couple of shots of my gen z series gmt2c. one side is etched and the other is stamped.

i left them clickable so you can blow them up. after they open click 2 times for the largest view.

yeah right!! the left side is not stampt its engraved( i am 90% sure... 10% i am maybe wrong so than its only stampt...but i look very longe time at teh gen rolex and i would bett its graved^^)! if you look very closley you can see it..it goes deep inside and if you look at the rep.see dweller it looks same but only in picture^^the see dweller is laserd i think but for sure it dident get deep!
(i saw it many times..a friend sell gen.rolex) and the backround is matt like i say before..
anyway you see it in 1 sec.the gen or rep. by this clasp..thats why i was supriced that now i see stampt on rep.(here is stampt because its to expensive to engrave^^)
for all others..its very hard to tell by the picture if you never see it in real!... thx for the picture

very nice watch ;)

edit: this is from my daydate...here i see it for the first time after i buy it^^
but i see much more bad one but still not looking good its just a joke how they look!

Obviously because you were asking about the submariner of course!
Or do I missunderstand and you are looking for an engraved inside clasp regardless of model.
If this is the case then God knows most normal people tend to choose a model case style and dial as the criteria .
Rather than the engraving on the inside of the clasp

the left side in my pictures is either etched or engraved, it is defiantly not stamped. the left side in the pictures appears to be stamped. i can't speak to how a milly or new style sub is done or if the gold sub differs from the ss sub.

the old sub is all stamped and has been dissected to a nat's ass.

Let's hope our new friend Shabu finds his watch at the price he wants to spend. Things get easily confused in translation, but everyone here means well and tries to be helpful. For example your name, in Japan "Shabu Shabu" is a special dinner with razor thin sirloin beef dipped for a couple of seconds in boiling water, and then dipped into a delicious sauce. In Mexican, Shabu is slang for heroin. But we all like to have fun here, mostly at each others expense. Sometimes there is much entertainment value in a train wreck, so on behalf of the forum, we all hope you find that special watch you are loking for, and if you stick with Hont, you should be very happy with what he sells you. :D

From one newbie to another, Let me add my two cents here.
In the past few months I have learned to simply use the search tool here before I post a question. When the question of the accuracy and quality of a model of watch has been exhausted (especially the Sub) It leaves the veteran's no choice but to snicker, and joke at your expense. Not to be mean, just out of pure boredom.

My 3 suggestions to you would be:
1. Use the search tool
2. Practice searching the topics your interested in.
3. Read the topics after you search for them.

This forum is a friendly place to learn about your hobby. Relax, read and enjoy! :D

The only one making 'bad mood' is you with the attacks. No one criticized you. I certainly didn't. If I had there would have been some reference to macro shots on hidden engravings.

We have tried to help. You just didn't like the answers you were given. And we didn't give them to your liking either. English doesn't work because you can't read it. I tried in German but you didn't like my translation. And now you want us to do the search in another language for you?

Bottom line is none of that matters. We understood what you are asking. You think the one you have looks like a 'joke' in your words. You want an 'A1' rep with clasp engravings that are exactly the same as the gen. With solid gold like the gen.

It doesn't exist. You need to buy a gen.

Your goldsmith needs a manicure and a good scrubbing of his hands. I wouldn't let him touch my watch.
