Have a number of watches, not keeping really good time, need some super lume, etc. and don't feel local 'watchmakers' do too much more than change batteries these days ...

This question have been asked many times before... unfortunately, no one has found a watchmaker that's worthy of such mods.

I would like to know too...

Man, that watchmaker is going to get a lot of business once we find him.

Buying tons of watches and learning fast. I'll be that guy... I already got some plans since my line of work makes a very good amount of money with very little work. I'd rather not disclose it because I have almost no competition haha. Well, actually like 50 people in AMERICA total. All of the rest seem brain dead.

I'm getting about 20 watches this week all different movements and learning them inside and out. I'll ONLY take on a task when I'm 150% positive I can do what I need and more so it might be a bit from the difficulty curve needed and tools. I'm assuming about a year or so of working on them.

I found a repair place in Sydney CDB that did some quick and inexpensive work on my rep GMTIIc. PM me if you want the details.

Hi all,

Newbie here from Sydney with 6 reps. I'm just wondering if anyone has a reliable watchmaker that will service reps?

hey guys looks like its pretty hard to find a modder in australia but i'm going to try my luck with this question anyway.

i live in Perth and am not confident in opening up my watches and doing mods myself. does anyone know of someone in perth that would do servicing or minor modifications (datewheel changes etc)?

for that matter, anywhere in aus??

Hey, how many of you lot are not on the Aussie GTG list?
Sydney is next in line for a party so click on the link in my sig and sign up.

Can't handle lume but my watchmaker can certainly do a service and stuff like replacing the crown tube with a gen or a MVT swap.
He has 35 years experiance and comes from a family line of watchsmiths. PM me.

I am from Ipswich, Queensland. May I know where the watchsmith is? Have a A7750 watch requiring service. Won't mind sending it across states.

is there any point looking for a watchmaker to service an automatic (IWC3717) and a Manual (PAM111) movement? Both of them stopped working :(
