There was a time a few years ago that I was pretty in to it. I was building the Maruzen APS 2 sniper rifles up to 750fs and shooting at my neighbors.
It was fun... But going to the range with the real weapons is much more fun!
Its an expensive hobby thats fur sure. I had about $1500 in to each of the rifles I had.

Oh those sniper rifles were the bomb [smilie=bom.gif] Playing the sniper hunt scenerios were great fun! i still have my m4 but it only shoots about 300fps. I do agree, going to the range with a real one is much more fun
I played with some high school friends before I turned 18. Then we all bought real guns and went to the range. I still have quite a collection and will pull one out once in awhile to shoot in my garage
i used to have a sweet p99. i loved it so much i will probably by the real thing in a few months.

I miss my Beretta M92 Elite.
420-450 fps... using green gas (full metal, w/ gas blow back)
Also had the laser addition to it..
Had to be shipped in 3 pieces.. since the first time it got here customs sent it back.
(has things like serial number and such which will give you a hard time when going through customs)
..really do miss that gun
....my other hobbies are lock picking (if you like puzzles... give lock picking a try great fun !

I sold the gun to a friend a little while back, but man do I miss it.

I used to be an Airsoft player, used to play every Saturday/Sunday in Sacramento. Used to be the teams Sniper, had a TM PSG-1 with magnesium receiver, modified gearbox and Systema 400% spring shooting at 600 FPS, gas Mac-11 as backup... those were the days!
Unfortunately I sold it one day and never looked back... We should do a once-a-month Airsoft tournament in SoCal! That will definitely motivate some of us to get back to it. [smilie=alien.gif]

ok but lets set a time up for next week if you will. I am currently out of town working, and i am stuck on the far side og the hotel with terrible low connection. I keep loosing connection and its driving me crazy. i will be home on wednesday
