Obvious Milgauss rep flaw...

I am new to this site...so first and foremost, I cannot thank you all enough for the absolute wealth of information. I am breaking my posting strawberry here...

Your reviews and assistance to newcomers should be borderline prosecuted, because it has helped me immensely in the fine craft of replication...lol That being said, please let me politely mention one tiny criticism...not of anyone or of this site...just a lack of minor detail info. Geez...I don't want to get off on a bad foot with you guys but...OK, I'll shut up and get to it.

One thing surprises me regarding the several reviews of the Rolex Milgauss. I have read maybe 60+ threads and nobody has ridiculed the shortcomings of the second hand on every rep I've seen (D4M first documented the shortness by say 1mm with his keen eye) but there is something else completely wrong. The gen has an actual Z formation in the two bends of the fuzzy but the rep looks like its a totally square step. As I said I'm new, so I do not know how to post pics, but I would call for you to check our Daytona4Me's all inclusive review on here. Gen step to step is zig zagged...Rep step is stacked.

This is absolutely my favorite watch on the market right now...gen or rep, and I can't wait to own either. The gen will have to come much later lol. It's uniqueness and uni-tasker nature makes it a must have in my collection.

Ultimately I arrive at my point....is there a mod on the Milgauss second hand, dremmel grind recommendation, purchasable replacement, metal working class...to fix the "not-so-obvious to 99% of people" difference?

Thanks, all!

I've seen the watch. The reason it isn't mentioned much is because you have to blow it up to see it. The good things far outweigh the bad one.

No...I clearly get that. I mean the comparisons I see on here are 1:1 (I mean D4M was a pic by pic comp). I understand that I'm not buying a gen, but all the reviews typically point out the dif between the two. This difference had not been noted. My only point.

PS...I am still trying to find a great place to buy one tonight. Haha...I am flip floping between this and the Ultimate DSSD every 20 minutes...

I will end up with both, I'm sure. :p

A few people who have commented may have missed it. But none of the members are saying it's 1:1. The dealers do that. I'm sure your next question is why. Well that's just the way it is. Fortunately we know the reality of it.

When I write reviews I focus on the good things. I probably wouldn't have mentioned the second hand. That doesn't make me deficient and I'm sure no one would think think you believe they are. Everyone's got certain things they care about. Some are glad it's close. Some can't go on if the rotor on the insde isn't marked right. Some even get upset if the print on their rep box isn't bright enough. Some just never notice. Some care after the fact. I guarantee there are people who have been walking around, happy as clams, with their Mgs on for months. No clue. Never been called out. Never even been asked. And believe it or not some of them will stop wearing their watch because they read this thread.

Ultimately the whole point of the forum is to share information which you did. And I did also by pointing out where the 1:1 information comes from. And since the subject has been discussed ad nausem I wanted to keep it on track because it often turns into a 'Why can't we do something about the way dealers advertise' discussion.

Have fun and keep keepin on.

Yep, the second hand is right but now the hour hand is too short since they made the case bigger. :D

(Actually, I haven't compared it to a gen so I'm speculating)

Now I've got to sell my MG. Damn you all.

Hey thanks golgi, I never noticed that. There are two dealers reading this thread as I post so your comments have been noticed where there a chance of a correction is best. Don't hold your breath since the average dealer has surprisingly little controll over what the factories produce. Not thru lack of trying I may add.
