Can anybody please point me in the direction of where I can get a Bezel Screw? I have managed to mysteriously lose one!

I bought the watch from Mark at Timeshops and it is an A7750.

Thanks in advance

Is that a Blackbird you're missing the screw from? I just took delivery on one from Ruby at NiceReplica; same problem. After wearing for a couple of days, I noticed some of the bezel screws seemed to be working their way out. When I got home and was tightening them all down, I noticed one was missing. My first rep too!

I'm hoping Ruby will help me resolve. Let me know if you find the screws elswhere.

Yeah it is a Blackbird. It looks like the same old story of loose screws. I wish now I had loctite'd them in. Hey hoo, the search goes on!

Well it turns out that they aren't screws after all. More like faux screws! Another one came loose tonight so I superglued it back in. Am I best tackling the dealers for some spares?

I spoke to Mark & Timeshops and he seems to think I need to replace the whole case. I can't help but think that this is a very extreme solution for basically just blanking a hole. The screws are fake and serve no purpose other than a cosmetic one.

He has advised me the case will be very expensive, I will be without the watch for quite some time and I will have to pay two postage charges.

All I want to do is get a handfull of replacement screws and glue them in. Am I mad?

Please chime in with any advice please. The watch isn't actually mine, I bought it on behalf of a friend and just want to do the right thing for him.

*Edit* The watch is only 6 weeks old (if that) *Edit*

This does seem an extreme measure! but having said that, it was an expensive watch, if you cannot find a solution to replacing the faux screws, id be inclined to pay the postage to return the watch.....surely they will be footing the bill at their end for new casing and labour etc.

The whole time process will be lengthy too. :?

Nope, all at my cost. You do not get a warranty with these things, so six weeks old is a long time.
I was hoping Mark at Timeshops might do something for me if I was to order another watch, but I guess I will have to wait and see.

If not I guess I am going to try to make some, although my 3 mtr long lathe seems a little large for something so small

he won't fix it? really? well that's interesting.

the reason he wants to replace the case is the case comes fully assembled crystal and all to the factory. the last time i priced one of those cases it was 65.00. i don't understand why he don't have you return it and take it back to the factory and make them fix it. :?

just for future reference ruby gives a 6 month warranty with her watches.

Thanks for the heads up there HK. I have sent Mark the picture, as he requested. I will see what he comes back with.

I have even offered to buy another watch (a different model) to ease postage charges for the spare parts, so it isn't like he won't get anymore business.

I would prefer he replaced or fixed it in an ideal world. The screws are loose & glueing is only a temporary solution. I envisage further problems down the line. However, I am trying to be reasonable in just asking for spare screws.

I will keep everyone informed of the outcome............... Over to you Mark @ Timeshops!

I'm missing the exact same screw on my Blackbird; the difference being the screws in my bezel are actually screws........not sure that they serve any purpose, but they do screw in and out. I purchased the watch from Ruby and noticed the missing screw within a week. I emailed her over a week ago......have not heard back as yet.

I sent Mark a photo and I think he realises what I am after. He is going to talk to the factory and see what he can come up with.

Fingers crossed.

Note to self: Next time a friend asks you to get him a rep, say No!

Good news. Mark has very kindly offered to take the watch back to be repaired/replaced. And there I was thinking nobody offered warranties on replicas.

A great service from a great guy.

The friend I bought the watch from is happy to send it back and be without it for a little while. He thinks it is best this way in case any more screws come out.

Result!!

I did hear back from Ruby as well; she told me I'm out of luck on the screw....factory won't send her any. The watch is stopping periodically, (whether on wrist or winder), and loses about 3 to 5 min/day as well. Ruby said she'd cover "repairing" the watch with respect to these problems....but still offered no help on the screw.

I'm contemplating having the watch serviced locally and write the screw off. Any advice?

I was told that the Blackbird movement is really well made and a service could help you.
Regarding the screws I just would say, learning by doing....I own a lot of Breitlings and looking for the screws is the first I do before I put it on my wrist. I also check out the screws on the bracelet and use loctite.
Just check this out

send the watch back and have her make the factory replace the screw or case as they wish. as i have already posted the case comes to the fully assembled. no, they aren't going to give her a screw to send you.

I was giving this some thought and I was wondering if using something like putting a dab of JB weld on a toothpick and coating the hole for the screw would work better than glue?

Im not sure if its the same but theres also another epoxy that bonds metal together that might be able to be used? liquid weld or something?
