I am new here...actually just found the site while on my trip. I am looking for the best GMT II I can find. I have a real GMT II that was purchased in the 1980's but it is getting scratched up when I use it in the cockpit.

Where can I find one that is really good? We used to fly to Taipei and I sometimes get to Mainland China but you never know what you are going to get when you purchase from those sellers. Are there any suggestions from you "experts" in the Replica field. I have seen Watchmaker9's web site and they look great but his post shows "ceased" on the watches I am interested in. I also have seen watcheden.com (but I just read some bad reviews on them) and timeshops.net (which has positive posts) & which looks very promising. Suggestions? Remember, this is my first post and I am in fact--A NOOB!

Kindly,

Dave

There's the GMT-IIc. In fact it's one of the better reps on the market right now. Get one with either an ETA or clone ETA and the incorrect hand stack. I just got mine a few days ago and it's amazing.

Hi all,
I'd like to hear your answers to this question as well. I'm very interested in the GMT IIc. Where can I buy the best rep?

Thanks.

I still like the old pepsi bezel. 8)

If interested in old GMT-II, check out the bezel numeral, hand stack, crown/crown guard for comparsion of visual similarity.

the gmt II is your best first choice for a replica. go with the ceramic benzel and the 50th anniversry model, also the swiss internals. if you can afford it? anything that states 40.5 benzel is a plus. i purchased mine from ruby replicas. but take a look at watch eden because they are simple to deal with. also take a look at the rolex milgauss, because it looks authentic. there are many dealers on here, but the may be selling the same model? so at that point go by the service rateings and the numbers. plain and simple. if someone sells you a watch that has a diffective part? good luck getting service.

So you work for Boeing company, great! I visited the Dreamliner assembly line 2 years ago. The 748 will be a fantastic aircraft,
I am retired since last year
I started on Sud Aviation Caravelle and DC8-73, was in Long beach CA. for the Douglas type rating,
then my company bought Boeing. I have flown the 747-100, SP, 200 and the former 200SUD (stretched upper deck) who became the 300.
I miss the 400 with PFD/NAV/EICAS screens display

Hk is an auto mechanic, don't let him fool you. He did fly a 747 once, on the left side, but it was coach.

remember crew anonce:
"coach passengers, leave asap the aircraft using aft doors,
For first and business passengers : please fasten you seat belt, we will be landing in a few minutes ! "

My company used to share the 742 simulators owned by Lufthansa, so we had tests and refresh every 6 months in Frankfurt
We had a lot of fun, the simulator was the only cockpit we could fly relax after 10 beers and 10 sausages
