This is my fastest arrival to date: I ordered this piece from Josh, for my girl, and it shipped the 5th, from Guangzhou--amazingly enough it arrived on my door in Florida this morning at 10:00 AM. Outstanding service!

And an outstanding piece. Already running perfect ETA 2671-2, siliconed & polished, dressed and ready for our 1 yr aniv in 3 weeks. Have a look:

The smooth bezel, SS, ladies Datejust on an oyster--especially with the basic Roman dial--is my favorite womans watch that Rolex makes. Well made, classic, minimalistic, not pretentious, and universal to almost anything she wants to accessorize with. She liked this piece in my AD a few months back, but rolled her eyes as to why anyone would pay that much for a watch, but she loves to sit & watch me tinker with these things, so I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it.

Yes, the gen does have wider, crappier looking numbers.

Josh sent me one almost like that @ 3 yrs ago....Problem was....I had ordered a 5517 Military Sub!!...He took care of me fine, but that was my FIRST attempt at buying a watch from a Chinese dealer, after getting back in the Rep collecting game!!
These days, I hardly buy at all, but if I do, I only buy direct from a CONUS source...Preferably from a fellow board member...

I wholeheartedly agree. I think most others would too.

Looks very nice! She'll love it I'm sure! It may be the angle but, the five looks a hair off center. Might just be the angle of the shot though. Still an awsome watch! And I agree the thinner numbers make it look better.

Who did the silicone? You? Or did it come sealed from Josh?

I silicon all my watches (check the waterproofing link in my signature).

Contrary to what any dealer will tell you, no watch comes siliconed from the factory.

I'm still working up the courage to pull the movement in my DSSD to epoxy the HE valve.
I'll grease the o-rings while I'm in there.
Just really scared I's gonna FUBAR the movement.

Oh BTW nice watch. I'm sure your gal is gonna love it.
