If so..any good?

So i went and viewed the film last night. The movie is spot on for anyone who enjoyed the first one. it has the same tension and feel as the original as well. With out giving too much away, the beginning (minus brief intro) WAS a little slow, but once that was over it was an enjoyable movie. The cars are ALOT better. We got skylines, STi's, chargers, chevelle's, Grand Tarino's, a lambo SUV from the 80's, Porsche, hummer's... just a handfull i can remember. The story line worked for me and didn't feel like they were just throwing the original cast in a pot and brewing up something to sell, but genuinely created a nice continuation of the first (but also of the second with paul walkers character). If i had to pick one thing i did not like it would be paul walker. he is just a goober. His acting is unbelievable and his un highlighted hair is not fooling anyone... he still doesn't convince anyone that he could work on a car, let-a-lone, drive one.

6/10 (opposed to the original which i would give a 7.5/10)

My 2 cents

you guys might a little out of touch with the public, you think? lmao

(Entertainment Weekly) -- In the first truly shocking box office result of the year, "Fast & Furious" sped away from expectations to gross a humongous $72.5 million, according to early estimates from Media by Numbers.

Paul Walker stars in "Fast & Furious," which exceeded expectations after taking in $72.5 million.

That result is effectively double what most industry observers had predicted for the debut of the fourth feature in Vin Diesel's car franchise, and it left in the dust a number of notable records:

- Best April opening ever, beating "Anger Management's" $42.2 million.

- Best Universal Pictures opening ever (three-day), beating "The Lost World: Jurassic Park's" $72.1 million.

- Best F&F franchise opening ever, beating "2 Fast 2 Furious'" $50.5 million.

- Best opening yet in 2009, easily beating the bows of the more-buzzed-about "Monsters vs. Aliens" ($59.3 million) and "Watchmen" ($55.2 million).

You guys realize we are not anywhere near the target market for these movies right???
And you guys realize that The Fast and The Furious movies are financed by all the aftermarket import parts manufacturers right???.

I'm into aftermarket stuff
my civic is a show car w/ a few sponsorships
and I also track race it.

And on TV they are successful with shows such as Flavor of Love, Surreal World, The Bachelor, High School Reunion.......so there is no accounting for what is popular in the Entertainment industry.

That really is a great looking car. My son has a WRX with his entire life poured into it. I have to admit it I love to drive his car. I am just surprised he has not wrecked it yet.

oooo I wanted/want a wrx :)

funny story actually.

my first car was a 89 prelude ..
such a fun car.
(mine was goldish)
prelude1.jpg

standard - very sporty little thing.

unfortunately I thought I was hot shit and after having my license for just a little raced some friends..
hit some sand on a turn (was after winter and access sand all over the roads)
skidded into one of those metal sign poles.

kinda like this
1121367485.47483675.phpRZKk4Y.jpg

only there was no guard rail..
it cut off from the middle of the car to behind the passenger front tire.
ya just like a knife cut right though the car.

like this but on the passenger side and it cut right though including the axial. and of course my car was an 89 prelude.. not this haha.
car-hit-telephone-pole-hoboken-august-17-2007.jpg

and the kicker... my driver side didn't have and airbag.. so I had a hell of a headache.

anyways - turns out because I was near the circuit city parking lot and they had just repaved that area, there was a chemical on the road that made it slippery + the sand = no fault on my part... thx god for family lawyers :)

and of course I got grounded..
and yelled at by my mom..

then she did something I didn't expect.
she sent me to defensive driving school (2 of them, 5 different courses)
and then racing school at lime rock. 3 times. (different courses)

she said.. if your guna try to race, you better learn how to control your car and do it right.

then I bought a new civic (96.. not really new.. but pretty new when I bought it)
and mom and I worked on getting it ready for track racing..
(and ya... some junk like the spoiler and the rims..)
the carbon fiber hood actually took off 30 or so pounds from the car surprisingly.

anyways now mom and I hit up lime rock once in a while and time the car across the track.
tis very fun and a good bonding experience for my mom and me.
+ I know how to drive better and am more cautious :)

If you guys are fast this is how to get free tickets...

No purchase necessary. Just re-use the codes below. To be safe, manually enter all of the codes on the website because people have been rejected when cut 'n paste was used. It appears that multiple entries after clearing cookies has been disabled and IP addresses are now logged. I jumped on a neighbors wireless and cleared my internet history & cookies and was able to print a second ticket with the same codes. I suppose you could do this at work, neighbor's, and hot spots each for one time and still print muliple free tickets...

Since this can be combined with the store oil change deals I thought this was slick
