Another big Tourneau sale coming up for you people in NYC. The catch is that you don't get papers and more than likely a mismatched box. Watch will come with a Tourneau warranty, I forget if its one or two years. I remember last fall they had a beautiful platinum IWC Grande Complication. Unfortunately, half off of $250k is still a bit too rich for me :(

I pronounce it in one of two ways:

1. "tore" "know"
2. "place where sales people don't know sh*% about watches"

Don't expect too much.

They do the sale annually (sometimes twice in a year) to move out some preowned inventory and large amount of the Tourneau brand watches.

The prices have NEVER been attractive at all.

Waste of time & effort.

go to the http://www.soifferhaskin.com/ and get on their mailing list. The tourneau sale is their only watch-related sale. Most of their stuff are luxury clothing and accessories.

I don't know if I'd call it a waste of time unless your AD already gives you 50% of MSRP. I wouldn't book a flight to attend, but it's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. I was sorely tempted by the IWC Ingenieurs (both chrono and non-chrono) at their last sale.

the ones that he's talking about having random boxes are the certified pre owned one. pre owned = 1 year movement warranty by tourneau.

You're sure you were at the soiffer haskin showroom across from the post office, and not the regualar Tourneau store on 34th street? I was just there and I saw plenty of Breitling, Cartier, Tag, Omega, and even Ferrari PAMs at 50% off. Most of the Cartiers were the blinged out ones, but that have a couple seatimers and santos xls. I was tempted by the BCEs, but I'd prefer a black face...they only had blue, white and gray. The pre-owned ones are just on one wall, although they do have new watches that look like they've taken a beating, e.g. display models.

And all of the watches, new or used, only come with the 1-year Tourneau warranty.

it's on 33rd street just west of 8th avenue, north side of the street.

I actually tried on one of the BCEs, but didn't even bother to check the price. I forget the exact MSRP, but if it's around $5400, then it'll sell for $2700+ tax. The higher-end watches are 50% off, while the designerish and Tourneau house brand watches are 70% off.

I'm not really an Omega guy so I can't really identify specific models. I did see a bunch of watches with the blue wavy line faces, which I presume were SMPs? Also saw a couple of those watches with the orange bezels. Sorry, wish I could be more specific.

A few other things that caught my eye:

-IWC again had a bunch of Ingenieurs, mostly non-chrono, and some aquatimers.
-Ulysses Nardin Maxi Marine Diver on bracelet
-As I mentioned earlier, there were a bunch of Ferrari PAMs. I was surprised to see them there, but I guess they're excluded from the Richemont "no-discount" policy...not that the discount was helping to move them...
-Some very nice Breguets that were tempting
-Glashutte Original watches were well represented
-JLC Master Compressor and Reverso watches
-Graham diver watches

Sorry I couldn't cite more exact models...maybe someone more knowledgeable can chip in.
