INSTRUCTIONS:
This is Part 1 of a two-part poll.
Answer the poll question. You have up to 16 options when voting. While in theory you could recommend everyone, only focus on the dealers that you would really go out of your way to recommend to others. If you can't recommend anyone, choose "no one".
THE IDEA:
In the absence of a proper rating system for our dealers, I thought I'd launch this, to work out a "dealer promoter score". The idea is based on the principle that Net Worth = Assets - Liabilities. The end product of this exercise should be a score, and the higher the score, the better the dealer.
This is done in two steps:
Poll 1: First, let's work out the number of customers who would recommend the dealer to their friends. This is the purpose of this poll (Part 1).
Poll 2: Second, let's work out the number of customers who would go out of their way to discourage their friends from buying from a particular dealer.
To get to the final score, we subtract the second score from the first, giving us a number that should reflect how much each dealer has showed us that he or she cares for us (technically, the net worth to them of their customer base).
This is not super-scientific of course. But it's better than nothing, and should give us a rough idea of which dealers go out of their way to please us, and which ones take us for granted. While we wait for a proper rating system, this is a way to say to the good dealers out there "thank you" and the bad ones "it's just not good enough".
At the end of the polls, in a few weeks, I will calculate the score for each dealer and post it on the forum.
