Finally repped the bracelet. 'bout damn time! I'm hoping they end up selling just the bracelet.

LOL! ...and I just asked about it on the shoutbox now!

...Got to see a pic of the gen when lurking on zhe Google, and loved it! the "SS/Rubber" is awesome! But the GEN I saw was in RG/Carbon Fiber (or RG/Ceramic)

Loved it! I know it´s too big for my small wrists, but I´m so tempted!
...Although I see only the Full SS has the correct black datewheel with white numbers. :?

Cheers,
Spirit.

nice reps but still off from the gen....so its a no-no for me. I was never in the HBB craze when they were $900.00 and up.

Absolutely in love with the SS/rubber one. Been waiting a long time for this. Hope they will sell it separate and it will fit on the earlier models.

BTW, did anyone else notice how crappy the engraving is on the rotor? I would rather have stickers!

Re: 3 New HBB with SS, SS/Rubber & Rose Gold Bracelets Available

I saw these a few days ago. A few points:

1) The gen bracelet does not have "rubber" midlinks. I believe the black midlinks are ceramic pieces. What leads you guys to believe they are rubber on the rep? If they're making cheap ceramic bezels, I see no reason why they can't make cheap ceramic bracelet midlinks.

2) Why do people keep saying these new rep bracelets are "off from the gen"? I have some very good photos of the gen bracelets and these reps appear to be identical. I cannot find a flaw. If there is something different about them, could you please enlighten us? I can state that I have never seen an all gold gen bracelet. I have seen gold/ceramic gen bracelets, but not all gold. That doesn't mean they don't exist - I've just never seen one.

3) The only other dealer who has these listed is Watchmark. He has only the SS bracelets listed right now. I e-mailed him to ask if the bracelet is available as an accessory, but they are available only on a watch. He has what appears to be the same Lite models PureTime has. He has an HBB with black dial and SS bracelet (with black kevlar side inserts) for $338. He also has an HBB with white dial and SS bracelet (but with matching WHITE kevlar side inserts) for $328. The weird thing is that the white watch actually has a nice white ceramic bezel, yet it costs $10 less.

My thinking is that based on Watchmark's prices, a separate accessory bracelet should sell for under $100. Considering that the more substantial Pam bracelets go for $75, that price is a bit high, but not unreasonable. If one of the dealers is smart enough to offer them as separate accessories, he could really clean up.

Does anyone have any leads yet???

The pic I posted above, on my previous post, is from a GEN rose gold HBB, with Ceramic midlinks.
..Look at the shine they have, and look at the bracelet Guanaco posted. It surely looks like plastic OR rubber, most probably rubber, as the edges seem to be bent touching the metal of the outter links, Joe =)

...I agree with you that rep factories could make cheap "ceramic" midlinks for the bracelets, and I hope they make it, but I guess it´s not the case yet. I hope (and wish) these on the rep are "ceramic"...

Cheers,
Spirit.

I can see what you mean in the photos, Spirit. However, the rep bracelet may simply be matte ceramic (or poorly finished ceramic). I'm not willing to make a call on what the rep is made of based on one photo. If it turns out that the rep bracelet is rubber, that will only make my life simpler. I'll only have to worry about getting the rep SS bracelet! I'll be thrilled just to have that one!

Re: 3 New HBB with SS, SS/Rubber & Rose Gold Bracelets Available

UPDATE: It looks like Watchmark just updated his HBB section. He now lists an SS HBB with ceramic bezel and matching bracelet for $338. Unfortunately, the bracelet is described as: "RUBBER AND STEEL BAND WITH Deploy Folding Buckle."

Looks like it will be the SS bracelet for me.

I was told it may not fit the non-lite versions.. but that could not be confirmed... it was more of a point to make sure it can fit before you buy...
my supplier does not really want to sell parts so I could not confirm it.. sorry..

It MAY be that the bracelet requires the shorter "strap covers" (referring to the SS pieces that hold the H-screws and cover the top of the strap). If that's the case, then the bracelets should probably be sold with an extra pair of SS strap covers.

I own four different HBBs, and they're probably from four different factories. One of them has the short end pieces, while the other three have the standard long ones. If that's the only thing that would prevent bracelet mounting, then they should consider selling the bracelets with an extra set of the short strap covers.

Ive had 2 BB's...both from the 1st factory right when they came out...I sold them off when prices were still high...now I miss them. I want to buy but want the same quality as my 1st factory version....anyone know how to tell the difference between all these different BB makers? Also Ive heard the new ploished bezels arent true ceramic??

Also the ss strap looks good...not sure if it is as accurate as the strap though.

According to a poster over on RWG who has been in touch with Puretime, the bracelets are made by the 2nd HBB factory, not the first factory that produced the best HBB version. There are apparently no plans by any dealer to sell the bracelet as a separate accessory. This will only be sold as a single unit, and with the low beat 7750 at that (no plans for the higher 28.8k beat rate with bracelet). As a result, no one knows if they would even fit on any existing HBB models. Also, the first bracelet is SS and Carbon Fiber, not SS and Rubber. The Rubber in Puretime's description refers to the bezel.

Final point. I've seen several Authorized Hublot dealers and tried on quite a few gen HBBs. To date, I've never even seen a HBB with bracelet anywhere at any AD. I asked an AD in Las Vegas about this, and he told me that the bracelets are very unpopular. In the first place, they are VERY heavy and uncomfortable. Secondly, a lot of people think that it takes away from the design of the watch. Final point is that because of the special Hublot screws, it's not like you can easily swap a bracelet with a rubber strap if you don't like it.

No offense to seanf, but I feel the need to correct a couple of points here. First, you are mistaken about the SS bracelet with black inserts. The gen bracelet is made from SS (or rose gold) with ceramic inserts. The rep bracelet is made from SS with RUBBER mid-links. If you examine the photos closely, you'll see that the mid-links are, in fact, rubber. There is no carbon fibre in any of the bracelets. The side panels, like the side panels on the HBB itself, are made from kevlar (which itself is just a fancy name for "plastic").

The "rubber" in Puretime's desciption refers to the black mid-links, NOT the bezel. The bezel is ceramic. No HBB, rep or gen, has ever used a rubber bezel.

The gen HBB bracelets are not common, but they are widely available. Tourneau in Boston always has at least one SS/ceramic and one Rose Gold/ceramic in its display case. There are always a couple on ebay as well. Although it probably is heavy, it can't possibly be any heavier than the ROO or Pam bracelets. Keep in mind that many people find the HBB deployant uncomfortable. These bracelets may be just what those people need.

Finally, swapping the strap/bracelet is simple. Most dealers sell the H-screwdrivers if you really want one, but I've always been able to remove the H-screws using the tips of a basic spring bar tool.

I just ordered the HBB with the all-SS bracelet. I'll report back when it gets here.
