i still would like to know how many members are waiting for their watches / parts.

things on RWG are getting scary...Jakubs ship to address is not his physical address.

100% no answers to e-mails, phone and cell phone from his side. in several month.

any quick reply / info appreciated.

Sounds like the bait n switch.
He did some AR work aned gained trust and WHAM!
Got a bunch of pieces and vanished.
Lulled the people into a false sense of security
I bet you'll see a few for sale here and there in the Forums.

i was almost banned on RWG...for talking a straight word.

if you dare to send anything to POLAND ( or any other former east bloc country ) extremly !! good chances are:

that you will not see it again. simple as that.

you might want to add me to the list of the members you won't deal with, as I come from a country which has a border with Poland. I think I lost my UPO, nevertheless.....
Please judge people, not countries.

sorry, very unfortunately - these countries are known for highest crime / theft rates.
i know, the honest person suffers from these trends.
there is...for example a reason....that you are NOT allowed to drive a rental car to Poland.

sorry, tell the car rental companies not to judge the country.
unfortunately these things are MOST LIKELY to happen in certain east countries.

when people in the US are scamed for hundreds of Millions of dollars to NIGERIA, can you blame them ....and the rest of the world,
that everybody thinks twice before they deal with this country ?

i call it pure self protection.

H-U, give it a rest already. It's not useful. It's not relevant.

On related news, some guy on RWG PMd everyone with Jakub's home and mobile numbers, just before he got banned. So things are about to get worse as everyone tries to reach Jakub at the same time. I would urge everyone not to make contact with Jakub, as it's only going to make him more nervous. We need to appoint a Polish member as the go between. We're working on it...

And watchbuff: I don't agree with that. If he only tries to keep any of that stuff and sell it, he will get caught. Guaranteed. Too many disgruntled people. Too small a world. I still give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

It's like a broken record.

If you go over to RWG again, there is a list that has been put together that shows what items people have with Jakub currently...if you have work with him then feel free to add your details to the list...that goes for all members here!

Well as someone who once had a shop on ebay I have to say that the WORST place in Europe to post to, is Italy! Postal service is just awful, I would also be VERY wary of posting to Albania and Kosova and Romania, I posted items out to Poland and never had a problem, the Poles are ok, saved the RAF during the battle of Britian, lovely people.

Never had a problem with Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark or Holland, never posted out to anywhere else in Europe though, East europe apart from what I mentioned is ok. Africa on the other hand! NEVER!!

Nigeria, Gambia, Somalia, or the Middle East such as a Iraq or Afghanistan, only an idiot would post out there! But yes, it's the people and not the countries when it comes down to it, good and bad everywhere. :)

all i am trying to say..

there are high risk - medium - and low risk countries.

just be aware. i got scamed from the east....and of course....ITALY !

one fact speaks for itself.

in germany now there are living 6.8 % former communist bloc country citizens.

32 % of all crimes in germany .....are comitted from these people. sorry - it throws a certain light on any good, lawabiding former comm. bloc citizen.

will i take a chance ? sorry, i cant.

the biggest problem with italy...are the customs regulations....they sieze all the goods that are illegal.

you would not believe what is on their illegal imports list..... they seized 2 watchbands of mine...because any leather items are illegal to import.

awwww, shucks guys you are making me blush.

I promise to post more =)

I am not trying to hijack the thread, but to all the newbies reading, THIS IS the BEST forum on watch collecting hands down. Not just reps, but you can find a wealth of knowledge on virtually any topic in regards to watches.

Yes Italian customs are best avoided at all costs, but they have a BIG problem with asians ripping off their Gucci bags and all, go to Milan and see the Romanian gangs selling off fake goods right under the noses of the leather barons, shocking! Thats nothing when it comes to Italian antiquities, they'll rip your balls off if you try to smuggle any of their old pots out of the country, best to visit Turkey if you like antiquities, real AND fakes!

Smuggling antiquities is so much fun. Back in the late 90's when I was a bit younger, but still as stupid, I took a piece of the Castle at Tintangel Head (King Arthur's Castle in Cornwall England). I have had it displayed on my desk at work (Canadian Government, which makes it so much more fun)... It has/had been a great conversation piece.
