Best DeepSea to date? (Pam111)

Just found this "newer" DeepSea over at Pam111. The CGs look a lot better than Josh's IMHO.

I would love to get opinions on strengths/flaws as I definitely want a DeepSea in the future

Here are the details:

W-3648 AUTOMATIC ETA 2836 FOR MAN

SEA-DWELLER DEEPSEA

Diameter of case:43mm * 17.8mm / Stainless steel case

Movement: Automatic ETA 2836-25j
Glass: Domed Sapphire crystal
- 3:00: date
- M serial
- Uni-directional bezel
- Closed 6 & 9 on date wheel
- Solid case back with Titanium Seal
- Screws on the band
- Serial no. & model no. between lugs

...I wish they have showed a pic of the Diving Extension´s Link..well, it looks pretty good, maybe it´s the same that Hont is offering (was it Hont? Don´t remember now) ...

and as Guanaco spotted, the Pearl is a small flaw on the rep. Also the Polished Midlinks..that are brushed on the GEN.

Deployant buckle looks completely wrong. Think they are using the same band as the GMT2....

Maybe it's the pics from Pam111 but the date recess looks better and more defined. It boasts a more chiselled angle like the gen than the usual rolly reps which looks more rounded. Then again, I could be way off the mark. Just my 2 cents.

I gotta agree.. ive ordered from him in the past and it was a nightmare.. He's known for using the lowest grade of ETA movements that are sometimes rusted out. I ordered a day date at a pemium and it worked for a few days (sort of) and died. I sent it to ziggy for rebuild and he said it was so rusty it wasnt even repairable.. nice hey? Also got jacked out of a daytona sec@6 but thats another story about his sketchy customer service.

Is Paul still a trusted dealer on RWG? If he still is, im not sure why... go to RWG and search for problems with Pam111/wo-mart/Paul and you'll see what I mean.

the gen has a polished ss he valve and the rep has a ti one from the looks of it. they need to work on this one, it has way toooooooo many things wrong with it for me to spend my money.

Can you put in witting exactly what you mean by #1 and #2?

1) Bezel insert in that pic is buckled
2) There's a gap between the back and the watch..

again I've never held a real one.. but just comparing pictures .. thats what I noticed.

Plus http://www.pam111.com is Paul's site, a very, VERY unreliable seller.

I'm waiting for the supposed 1:1 Deep-Sea made with the gen side by side, blah, blah, bullshit with a few glaring flaws even though the watch was supposedly in front of them. *phew!* :wink:

I can not believe this guy is still around. The folks that have been around for a while remember the Womart debacle. I would not buy anything from this guy. Of course Neil/TTK is still around too so go figure!

No kidding. Wanna hear something funny? TTK out of ALL the dealers went on a rampage on a new dealer for saying the watches he's selling with Asian Movements are "Swiss Cased" saying, and I Quote: "The little White lies have now turned to BIG BLACK LIES" ... ROFL wtf?! Out of all the dealers, the lowest of the low had the nerve to say that!? My prompt reply:

"At least he delivers in less than 8 months" ~ ROFL! TTK just didn't know what to say.

The guy is pushing it too far attacking other dealers for what? Advertising? Sheesh. Plus, the "Swiss cased" thing as we all know is that it's the casing the higher end version of the rep comes with. Now saying "Synthetic Sapphire" THAT'S misleading.

Good thing the thread got the big 404, TTK was bashing this new dealer for using perfectly acceptable terms. :|
