I don't have the tools or time to repair my own watches, I wish I did. Can anyone suggest someone that would be willing to repair my watch?

Well...okay then. The problem it that the watch only runs in fits and starts. It will run for a few hours then stop completely. Or, it will stop intermittently during the day and be a few hours slow when I get home at the end of the day. That all I know. I like the watch, but it is not usable.

Did that help at all?

one possibility: If it stops at the same position for a given hand, the hands may be getting caught on a dial feature.

otherwise, something more ominous going on inside. if you can tell us a little more about the watch, and where you got it from, we can davise on whether servicing will be worthwhile. generally speaking asian 21 j movements aren't worth the trouble servicing b/c the labor costs more than the movement.

If its an ETA or ETA copy movement, you can find a rep friendly watchsmith locally, or otherwise send it to vacuum or ziggy.

There have been a lot of movements coming out of GZ that are doing this lately. Fakemaster commented on this a couple months ago.. I brought it up again with my personal experience with quite a few watches sold..

This is a very common thing I see happening now.. there is a part of the watch that is the suspect... just dont know what it is right now.
