Price jump in movements?

I spent a little time building a friendly relationship with a rep watch dealer known to many on the boards. We agreed upon the price and I was all set to make payment when he said the prices of the watches went up $15 to $25 because of an increase in the price of movements. I did not order the watches. Has anyone heard of a price jump in movements within the last couple of weeks?

p.s. I'm talking about Asian 7750 movements.

No. I know who you're talking about... kinda shady. I didn't order either because he pulled that shit on me too. I'm starting to think that I'm gonna throw in the towel over this rep buying thing...

same shit happened to me... I had 5 watches lined up too. That was additional 110 dollar charge for me

Local dealer here told me time after time that ETA price has gone up but not the 7750...
