Anybody got a link to an image of a gen BCE datewheel or the exact font size and type that Breitling use? I'm thinking of trying to make an inlay to go over the crappy rep one as Lello's all out.

I have a couple of the Lello DWs that I haven't installed yet...I'll scan them and post the images.

You can "wash" the old DW using thinner. Repaint it then reprint it. I think Laser printing is the solution here. I am serious.
PS: It's capable of creating greyscale. As the background, you have to get one of ETA genuine datewheel to see. It's basically airbrush white glossy with a bit of matte touch (not so glossy).

The Chinese can do this "thickness" correctly like on genuine/ETA datewheel but it's very rare. I have many examples from Panerai, Breitling, IWCs, Omegas... you name it. I have rarely seen good DW on Chinese piece.

I've read several threads on the forums regarding datwheels with printed overlays over the original fonts. I've glued a noob sub overlay over a an ordinary eta datewheel with no problems using gs-hypo cement. So if it's a viable proposition that's been used before its worth a try. I was thinking of using the thinnest photo paper I can find and reducing the scanned image to the exact dimensions of the datewheel, the hardest part will be cutting the overlay correctly...
I agree... Then I will suggest you print it using laser printer to have that "thickness" effect.
Lello told me he MIGHT make more (Pam 7750s) but that would be months away. All the ones from his recent run are spoken for. I dunno about the BCE ones.

hummmm, that is a shame. i was considering getting another bce but the newest one has a shit date font and is unwearable for me. my first version looks good enough to get by on but the latest one is crap. i guess i will blow that watch off then. too bad.
