Can a kind soul enlighten me how to change straps on a

DeWitt Academia Chronographe Sequentiel

Removal of one, and replacement of another

both to case and deployant as well.

Any special tools needed?

I have a 'too short' strap mounted now, watch unwearable for me.

Your Guidance is Appreciated!

Klink are those the screws with the 5 stars that attach to the case???

and so the watch does not allow for any adjustment, only replacement???

think five star screws taken out allow strap to be removed.

strap length adjusted by cutting the rubber.. so wonder how remove strap,

and how fit the deployant on cut end of strap.. on a full length strap there are holes

at the deployant strap, once cut, of course, those holes gone..

??

Thanks!

Klink, I have the same issue and couldn't figure out how to get the screws out. I asked Joshua and he told me it requires a special tool that won't be available for about a month!

re: cutting the rubber strap........be very careful because if you actually cut too much you're screwed!!

Other than that, it's a great watch.

Excellent, Uncle Bob!

Patience to wait for tool, ok..

now as to the deployant.. in the strap ends are holes for pins.. but once

the end of strap is cut, no holes?

lol

you have got to love reps, and the people who mess with them!

There are rubber tubes in those holes in the strap. You need to push them out and fit in the spring bar.

Fantastic! Thanks for that piece of the puzzle!

Cheers,

K

(now to sit by the fire, brandy in hand, until such time as the PRC manufactures flower headed machine tools, with which
to remove strappy from watchy!

...Klink I hope you'll be able to source another strap for the watch...shame such a cool watch and not wearable.

Oh the perils of haute horological...anyone buying used Dewitt make sure strap has not been cut.
