Interested in Getting a Paneri

Hey everyone. I bought a LV Swiss mvmt Sub from Josh and loved it so much for my summer travels. As I have been looking at the site, Paneris have just grown more and more on me (seems pretty common :p). Anyways now that I have a paid internship, I think my next purchase is going to be a Davidson PAM. I have been doing some reading about everything (including the great sticky review on the Paneri page) but am unsure which model to get. So far, my favorite model appears to be the 177H. I really like the look of the second hand and also when other people inspect it, I know they will believe it is real if they see the sweeping movement (thats all it takes for my friends to believe my gen Submariner is in fact real haha). I was wondering what you guys think I should get. I think I am definitely going to get a savage band as well. What do you think is Davidson's best fake? Is there another model with a second hand that you feel is a more accurate fake than the 177H? In a nutshell, I need help making a decision because I can only afford 1 and I like so many of them! Thanks for all your help, you guys are the best and I recommend all my friends and family to this site!

-Steven

On a side note- it's not a top priority of mine but any idea of appx how much people would pay for the used LV sub? Thanks again!

not sure about the pam, but you might want to keep the sub for the days you just don't feel like wearing a strap.. like spending the day down by the pool..

Good suggestions. I really like the white face on the 113. Now I feel torn between that and the 177H. I like the white face better in the light, but the lume on the 177H is so cool. Which one do you think is a better fake? I am not looking to do Mods and if I am spending 390, I want to get my moneys worth :-D. Are there any reasons one is better than the other? Thanks again!

IMO - the 113 is closer to the genuine article than the 177 - but get whatever one calls to you as they are both great reps.

DSN's 177 is not quite there yet, imo. His 113, 10D, 112H are better replicas, but whatever floats your boat is the best rep ;)

I believe the 112 is his most accurate black dial, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. . .

My first rep was an LV and I have gone through many phases but always come back to it. KEEP THE LV. I am wearing mine right now after not having it on for about 6 months and debating on selling, owned it for 4 years and tonigh thinking of getting some mods to it!

Sweet 112. My two most favorite PAMs I 've owned is the 1950 and the 168... I know the color of the date is wrong on the 168 but I get more complements on that Pam than my 112, 111 and my 183 Black Seal combined.

Alright, watchdude's pictures convinced me to get Davidsen's 112. I sent Davidsen an email a few days ago but no word back. Is there a special way to order his watches or just it just take him a little while to reply? And last, where did you get that dark brown band watchdude? Thanks again for all your help- I'm really excited to get my first panerai!

He'll get back to you. Apparently my pics have overloaded him with 112 requests (LMAO!). Seriously, let him know you are ready for a watch just like mine and he'll get with you before you know it.

As for the strap, it's one of E's:

Also, I polished the pin on my CG. Close to perfect now. . .

Alright Davidsen finally got back to me. I was so excited to send my payment, but each method he gave me failed for one reason or another. I think my bank is being annoying about letting me use my card online or something. So, I was thinking about just going to a western union center and proceed with the transaction that way. Could someone please help me with the western union process? I know its not like paypal where it would e-mail him, instead I need to provide a transaction number and what not? If someone could reply or PM and let me know what info I need to send the money and give to davidsen, that would be much appreciated. Thanks again for all your help!!

i've never W_U before, but i heard it was quite easy. you might check with davidsen re: process, but what i do know is that W_U in person is fastest. Doing online usually results in rejections from what i read.
