Hello,

Glad I joined this great forum. Last week I got my first rep ever! After owning only gens (Omega Seamaster, TagHeuer, Citizen) this first IWC rep watch is very well made indeed. First of all a big thank you to Andrew for his great service from the first email I sent him till the delivery. Took only 4 days from China to Greece from the day the product was shipped.

Now the watch came very well packed and it looks and feels much better to what I ever thought! Only complaint is that I wanted the brown leather strap instead of the black one the watch came with.

Now some pics (excuse the terrible quality, I have only my cell camera):

Firstly the gen:

Then the rep:

After a week of wearing it all day it tells time 50 secs slower. That's working 7+ secs per day slower. Is this OK or should I get the movement serviced by my local watchsmith?

Good taste ;)

I prefer black dial watches but this is still a beauty.

7+/- per day is basically considered optimal for ANY autos. It's a regulation issue, and even most gens will run around that too. Wear it well my friend! Looks great!

Thanks for your replies. That's what I thought also. My gen Omega Seamaster is working faster 3+ secs/per day, but is a quartz model. This is my first mechanical ever and I like the ticking of it! :D

Congratulations on a beautiful watch. I love the dial and hand combination on this model. The fact that it came with a strap you do not care for, is just an excuse to buy a really nice brown or tan strap for it, in perhaps Crocodile or alligator. Enjoy your first step into this very addictive hobby. 8)

That's what I'm thinking as well, any ideas where to buy a nice alligator strap for this model?

I think your cell camera is pretty good (and the watch too)!

Iy is an ETA movement, the watermark is there and the parts on the rotor side appear to be the correct shape. Examining under a loupe will tell for sure but 99% its an ETA

Not nickle movement, but who cares? It's gen ETA, and your watch looks good.

Andrew sent me a replacement brown strap, which suits it better to my taste anyway. :) Here are some pictures:
