Two of my favorite watches came home yesterday. They've been visiting Joe for some mods like forever. I joke with Joe quite a bit about being slow. He knows it, I know it, the rep world knows it so lets not bother repeating old news. I'll take results over speed any day. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Hope you like them as much as I do.
My beloved 1680 got a datewheel overlay. I couldn't get a good angle to show it properly but as I see it, while I'm wearing it, no one else will see it perfectly either. MBW from Lucky before he vanished. Mods include gen tropic, gen crown, gen springbars, gen insert and pearl. I have a gen dial I was going to use but it is a white letter dial and after comparing the white gen dial and the red singer dial on the watch there wasn't any question which looked better. Crown guards reworked and a soft yellowing on the markers that looks like its shrinking away from the edges and really gives it a natural look.
Next up is my 063. Picked this up when I heard they were discontinuing it with the 2893 movement. Sure glad I jumped on it. This got a new datewheel, cyclopes, and lume job. Going to be hard not to wear this one 24/7.
