IF you could buy any watch under $20k...what would it be?

If I could afford to spend $20k on a watch, I frankly would not be spending all this time on a replica watch forum!

If you're looking for ideas on watches to rep, why limit to $20k. The guidelines should be:
Relatively inexpensive to copy accurately
Will fit a standard rep movement
Attractive enough (or having high enough status) to interest buyers (that's us)

The cost of the original should not even enter into the equation.

Personally, I'm not the Rolex/Omega type. I like things unusual - This week, I've been wearing a Vacheron Square Paternity rep with an Asian manual movement that I picked up for well under $100.

It doesn't bother me that nobody I hang around with recognizes the make. I like it.

Because my taste in things is quite weird, to put it mildly, I'm sure that nobody would agree with any of my suggestions.
But just in case, I like Vianney Halter watches, especially the Antigua (check out the website for pics: hxxp://www.vianney-halter.com). Definitely NOT under $20k, and probably doesn't meet ANY of the three criteria above.

i guess i should update this thread, i bought the rep daytona, i couldn't find the gen i wanted at a reasonable price.


and i bought this gmt2c at my ad. it was just shy of 6,500.00 with tax. it is a wonderful watch and i am very happy with it. to me it looks like the best value in the rolex line up at this time.

i want one of these so bad i am thinking about buying the gen. i am going to buy the rep and have it serviced, when it inevitably fails if i liked it as much as i think i will that will be it. i will find one for the best price i can and buy it. your limit was 20,000.00, i think this retails for 32,000.00 but i have found them for 25,000.00 so maybe if i could find a nice used one maybe i could get it for 20,000.00. 8)

HK its luck of the draw, had a black one serviced and it still stops, although I have that exact one and have never had a problem. I found I don't wear it as much as I expected. I personally would end up wearing the GMT you just got more if I had it, and I've seen them as low as 18.9k on the used market (rarely though).
