I like the Panerai's on a rubber bracelet/deployant

Don't get me wrong, there has been much said about what a difference a really nice leather or croc strap, even a gen one, can do for the look of a PAM, rep or gen.

But I have really gotten to like the look of the titanium case 177H on the PAM rubber strap/deployant combination.

The combination just feels so solid and authoritative that any minor cosmetic flaws in a rep just sort of seem to disappear.

In a way that would not happen even with the nicest of the leather straps, even gen...

Anyone else agree? I don't think this will come across in pictures, only by the "feel" in person....

i agree, the velcro nylon is nice too, gives me the same feel you describe.

I have a PAM on a rubber strap with a deployant clasp and I love it. Don't get me wrong I prefer the SS braclet, but I would not trade out the one it looks great.

Me too. Rubber straps give PAMs a total different apearance and feel. Love it.

Although I have not found a good dealer with nice rubber straps with correct loop and feel...

Well, this past weekend, I had someone ask for a certain Panerai with a blue dial. I couldn't get that model, but I did find a Panerai NorthPole GMT. I asked the buyer if he liked it, and he didn't. Well, to make a long story short, I kept looking at it while I was working, and I kept eying it, and finally.....................

I don't know too much about the North Pole model but it looks cool. I do like the rubber straps!
