My friends Chopard GTXL (21J version) died yesterday.

I realize this is a cheap movement of relatively low quality.

Is there anyone in EU that can help out with repairs/exchanging movement?

Would it be a better bet to sell the Chopard as is on the forum, and get a new one from Joshua for 108 shipped? I am guessing this might be the good solution.

Thanks in advance,

sorry to hear that... but the movement is relatively cheap to buy. I think u can
buy one for $ 10 to $ 15 us. or buy one fro the dealer... and post it to u.

then just go to the local watch smith and ask them to install it.....

still cheaper than buying new.... unless u know how to install one urself
without scratching the dial....

Agreed, that a movement probably is cheaper to obtain if I knew someone who could do it. The problem is that I am not a very practical person. I can change straps, but that is about it.

Hence the need for a person who can exchange the movement, or fix the movement. I don´t know of any watchsmith in my area that helps out with replicas.

Thanks for the advice!

Well, problem sorted out.

Thanks to all those who replied, PM´d and offered advice or to "take the problem off my hands". All offers has been very nice.

Joshua, whom I bought the watch from, has agreed to take it back. I did not think this was a possibility, considering the lack of warranty on these goods. But he has once again proven himself to be a stand up guy. So, kudos to him!

Take care and have a good weekend folks!
