Because the display back is more accurate on the 7750 so that is why the factory that made the "ultimate" went with a 7750.
The cheaper factory went with a 21j and not an ETA to keep it cheap, I assume.

what i hear is that the new asian 7750 is a better movement than the swiss 2824 or 2836 if you have it serviced...im buying one from angus tomorrow and having RBJ service it....its a great looking watch that iws near 1:1 copy

fredder could you post a review of it once you get it please.

Most of the people that have this watch reported that the seconds hand was stuttering. I would get this watch if this was not an issue, so please let us know...

Also, there is no way that even a serviced Asian movement is more reliable than a Swiss ETA.
That being said my asian 7750 is running along nicely for 7 months.

if this is an issue with this watch then is it possible to install a eta 2824 in place of the 7750?? i have a brand new eta 2824 sitting in my drawer....is it possible?? or maybe use a eta 7750 ??
i have 2 new 28.8 asian 7750's and both run perfect...very smooth,chronometer time after servicing...going on 8mo each

Don't think it's possible...
OR more like, may be possible but not easily done.

Might be wrong here... but I'm guessing the 2824 is a no go... datewheel wouldn't line up... and it would look horrible from the rear... need a different movement holder and stem too.
The ETA 7750 is possible if you can score hands that fit.... the center second hand would be the one to source If i recall the diameter of them correctly... (Ziggy was nice enough to post it exactly somewhere)

And if re: 7750 vs ETA (non7750)... thats apples and oranges. The 28.8 7750 is a fine movement. Once its serviced its every bit as reliable as the ETA... level of finish might not be as nice, but its still a reliable movement. Even in its unserviced form, the new 7750s are fine... most of us don't get them serviced right away and pretty much the only people that post about them are the ones having problems with em. I own many 7750s now and haven't had any issues with any of em. I avoided the older 7750 (21.6k) for a reason... but no reason to avoid the new one.
