1. Will my DJ rep band fit on a gen case?
2. Can I take a gen dial and put it in my rep (so far I have gotten a few different opinions)?

Let's make a bad-ass Frankenjust together and share the perfect formula!

This mod can be done pretty easily. Just be careful with removing and replacing the hands, they are very fragile. Get yourself a good hand removing tool for this. Replacing hands can be done by pressing them back on with the eraser end of a pencil, but it does take some patience, and make sure you turn the movement over until you see the date change and position the hands at midnight. Watch out for the hour markers on the dial too. Some gen dials have hour markers that are higher than the rep dial and you may have to slightly (and carefully) bend the minute and second hands up so they dont catch on the dial. The hour and minute wheels can be replaced by taller ones to solve this problem also, but that is something I have yet to try myself. Good luck and share some pictures when your finished :D

Cheers

As long as the MM is the same as the Gen, it should fit up nicely.....

the only thing you need to worry about is that it may not be as flush as a gen due to the spacing of the springbar holes in the case.

He's talking about the MM as in the width of the lugs,.. being 18mm or 20mm etc....
which is what the orginal question of the thread was about.
