Sorry to clog up your tread bklm1234 that's not my intention.

What i'm referring to on the bezel is more so of the beefy-ness of the Gen bezel Compared to the
VIPmariner.

I think your right about the teeth, but I feel that the Height and mass of "andrew's" Sub bezel is
closer to Gens.

But if I'm wrong please enlighten me, for that is why I ask you questions or challenge your Opinion, I respect you knowledge of Sub's and am quite jealous of it.

Cheers.

It's cool. I love it. I went to school in Utah. It's beautiful country there. Love those mountains.

On the bezel, Andrew's sub bezel looks thicker for 2 reasons. 1. the bezel teeth are more (too) angled down. 2. it's thick on the side, wrong place. It should be the bottom portion where it should be thick. It's the wrong look. While I can't have the thick bottom in either the VIPmariner or Sash's, at least I have the longer teeth. To get the correct bezel, you have to go with a MBW or TW Best or a WM. I got the former 2. Check the gen:

Only the MBW/TW Best/WM got the the right bezel, here's a pic of a MBW:

Dude your awesome!! thank you very excellent information.

I still haven't had the chance to get my hands on a gen sub so all I can compare it to is Pix.. There are no Rolex AD anywhere around here. Not that I can find at least.

Do you know if the MBW or TW bezel have the same nice Click sounds to them as like the VIP and Sash Subs?

Is that your Gen Sub?? it's a beauty!

Gen's click sounds are actually not like Sash's or the VIPmariner's. It's very soft and quiet and the bezel turns smoothly with a feeling of weight. MBW and TW Best mimic that quite well, given their bezel construction is completely different from the gen's. On the TW Best, the bezel has a plastic gasket (the same gasket for the caseback) to help hold and guide the bezel during turning which gives no free play whatsoever and the click sounds come from 2 prongs (I remember 2 or maybe it's 4, but not 1), instead of 1 on sash's and VIPmariner's, running against the gear teeth of the bezel's bottom. It's much more refined.

I wish it's my sub. It's actually my coworker's sub. Everytime he wears it, I will play with it.
To show you how the noobmariner is thick on the side, I got my brother to take a pic of his noobmariner vs a cn sub that has a very similar bezel as the VIPmariner's. Note the noobmariner bezel has very little bottom portion. It's thick on the side but not correct:

Nice post bklm1234! :D it makes allot more sense now, thanks for the info!

Ok a few more noob question if I may... :)

I surf ebay allot looking at sub's the whole time trying to con myself out of buying on due to the simple fact Rep subs are getting so good.

But from most all the photo's I see of the sub's I notice they don't have Serial Numbers on the bracelets. but all the Rep sub's I own do...

Do you know the reasoning behind this? should new rep sub's have No SN# on the bracelets?

Another noob question.

Which one of these Subs "CaseBack" is more correct?
I tried to swap a case back of andrew's sub and install it onto one of my sash with no luck. I was hoping the andrew's was more accurate and hoped it weighed more, I like a heavy sub.

there should be number on the bracelet. Maybe it's a replacement/aftermarket bracelet on that gen. You've seen more than one like that?

I think Andrew's caseback is more correct. Ubi and Chieftang both took casebacks from noobmariners to put on their TW Best. I tried doing the same but my TW Best from River has different threading.

Dukie, seems like you should get a MBW or TW Best or WM to satisfy your high demand for accuracy.
