Im pretty much split 50/50, desktop at work, laptop at home.

I voted for laptop 'cause work is never permanent and at least im sure that if I replace my home laptop, it would be with another laptop.

Can I ask what's the purpose for this poll? website design? or just looking for other C64 junkies out there?

purpose is curiosity. I saw a watch pic with watch sitting on a laptop and just wondered how many use a laptop as primary computer.

I don't think laptops would give me the performance I like, they have smaller feel, scrolling not fun, upgrades limited. typically smaller screens, smaller HD, and stealability (theft)...

Cool....

With the lifespan of PC's these days, I put alot more weight on the practical value that the laptop offers vs the power/upgrade value on the desktop, but then again I dont do much but browse and MS office at home on the laptop, and I do have a saaweeet desktop at work to rev up everyday with REAL power hungry apps....

Well... Iff I have a more permanent place, I would love to get a desktop. I build many of these boxes per week but having no chance to keep 1 for myself. This is the combo for my work, study, play: ThinkPad T43p with Dell 2407FPW. I would say that the image turns out to be much better on a DVI connection but at the moment I will have to satisfy myself with D-Sub Analog 15 pin connection from my laptop.

I am gonna sell my O2 XDA Atom and switched to Blackberry instead. So much more intuitive with instantaneous response without having to worry not be able to receive my calls properly or missing deadline because non working alarm of Windows Mobile. It's true... tons of apps and functionality (i.e: Wifi, skype, etc) of WM but it's far from a good phone. The voice quality is so much better on Blackberry good ol' 7290 <--- cheap and good.

It's sweet, only wished it had more RAM, video playback while streaming audio via stereo BT makes the damn thing slow down to a point where the video and audio get out of sync, but if I use regular headphones or speaker its smooth as silk, loaded the entire 3rd season of Entourage on it, you should see the looks I get on the subway when I belt out a huge laugh while watching the shows on my daily commute to/from work.
Also Skype works awesome on this thing......

Why not get it from Cingular (8525)??? or are youstuck with Tmo for awhile?

I love tmobile, never had a problem, always have service, etc etc...I am not dying for a new htc, but its about damn time. Having a phone for a year is like having a car for 10, even if its nice, you still need something new. I reallllly wish they would grab the samsung f700

Desktop primarily at work and laptop at home. Ive negelected my custom built pc that just sits lonely in my office and gets no game time now.

I just picked up the new Tiberian sun and will be running that. I feel like my system is now old since I did not build a new one this year and so many new graphics card out.
