that counterfiets will get you 10-20 years in prison. While replicas are legit. And that's why we're called the replica-watch info forum and not the other. Good enough for me. I hope it will be good enough for you and the wifey.

You can paint it any way that you like but, the fact remains that the wife is basically correct on this one. No one would buy these products without the famous name and logo on them. Although the watches are sold to us as replicas (copies) of an original protected trademark and design, once it leaves the dealer's hands it becomes a counterfeit watch. The reason is that it could be represented by it's owner as genuine and even sold as such , and often they are. There is a reason that the customs people are able to confiscate such items....they are illegal! Like many of you, I prefer not to think of these watches, handbags, pens, etc. as counterfeit but to be honest they are or shall I say could be. :wink:
