But don't keep asking what one to get if you are just going to keep saying SA3135 is unreliable. If you don't think it is reliable, than it is not for you. Myself and others on here will just have to worry every day for years if our SA3135 will die. And for years we will have to stare at our more Gen like SA3135 not knowing when the last day they will work. It is a terrible burden that we SA3135 owners have to bare alone. Every day when I look at my Gen like Sub, I will just have to smile and worry. Casio is best for you [emoji16]

  • A2836-2 = Asian clone of the ETA 2836-2
  • A3135 = Asian clone of the ETA 2836-2 that is made to look like a 3135.. except it doesn't fool anyone and I heard various fail stories to do with it. Not worth the extra money
  • SA3135 = Super Asian 3135 clone that is found in Noob and BP Rolex reps. The current version is made more reliable than the older ones from what I have read. But these movements have no spare parts (even the stem has proprietary design) - except for maybe the reversing wheel as I have seen domi fit gen ones into a SA3135 with some mods. Out-of-the-box reliability seems to be much higher than SH3135
  • SH3135 = Shanghai 3135 clone (found in JF reps, 90% of gen and aftermarket Rolex 3135 parts can be interchanged into this movement. But out-of-the-box reliability varies so you may expect servicing)

Conclusion:
- If you want a movement that is reliable in the long term with less maintenance hassle... then get a watch with A2836
- If you want a movement that is reliable in the long term with GENUINE FUNCTIONALITY (i.e. SA3135 and SH3135), then I think SA3135 marginally wins over the SH3135 because it seems like the SA3135 is more reliable out-of-the-box. But bear in mind spare parts for this movement is impossible to find

Good info for the OP to consider, but as I have said a few times in this thread, this is not quite right. "A3135" is generally used by most dealers to refer to a decorated 2836. However, the OP's chosen TD (TS), just like Trusty Time, also uses the term "A3135" to refer to the SA3135. So the OP is asking about 2836 vs A3135, but he's actually choosing between 2836 and SA3135 (only looking at Noob V7, which we all know does not come in a decorated 2836 movement).

Trusty descriptions are all over the place as are many TD's basically they don't know shit and don't give a shit either, they are there to sell watches.

In this link he refers to JF's SH 3135 as an a3135. Fortunately you can look at his photos and see what it is

whats your opinion? 2836 or sa3135 for someone who doesnt know shit about replica watches just want to have something close to 1:1 that last for 5-10 years

Just received my noob yachtmaster with SA3135 and kind of regret that decision. It works fine and all but it feels like an unrefined movement. I have a gen datejust 2 and the winding feels completely different. The SA 3135 feels like it's grinding, it may be because it needs a service, which I will do eventually. My reps with 2824 feel much higher quality when I manually wind or set the time.
