Lume is almost non existent (looks like common IWC GST Chrono Ti with black dial type). Taken from an aircraft. Manufactured on Sep 25 1968. Was refurbished last year. Nov 5 2006. I believe dial and hands were changed from Tritium type... Possible for a relume job but I decided to leave it as it is.

aircraft instruments are not lumed. the black dial with white markings are the norm and become visible at night from a special red light mounted in the headliner of the aircraft.

it works extremly well. the white markings become visable but you don't notice the red light in the cabin so it doesn't bother your vision for seeing outside the plane like it does if you turn on your dome light in your car at night.

@hk45ca: that's really a valuable point. The hands and dial absorb light and reflect it pretty well.

Welcome Back! Not the same without you around!! :D

Welcome back, Tak. It's been quiet around here since you've been away.

Very nice clock. I look at these on eBay all the time but have yet to purchase one.

You should talk to E of HK Tan about fitting it with leather.
