PAM 55 Pre-V

At first I got the dial from Davidsen and try to make it PAM 009. But the orange lume looks to contrast to me with the black PVD case so I change it to Titanium body and I like it very much. This will make it looks like Pre-V PAM 55.

1. Dial and high cannon pin are from Davidsen.
2. The case is generic from local dealer but he did it for me by boiling the case in hydrogenperoxide to darken the case just like one of our members did it with Oxyclean.
3. CN6497 movement and I replace high cannon pin myself following Ziggy instruction.
4. I imagine and get the black waterproof strap from TCstrap. The black with the gold stiches seems to match with the orange index so well.

out of curiosity - was it very difficult modding the davidsen dial to fit a non-davidsen case?

It does not difficult at all. Just file the edge off by arond 1 mm all around. Actually I took around 15 minutes to file it off. But you must not be hurry otherwise you may scratch the dial. Hold and face the dial direct to your body and file the direction from in to out. Otherwise the dial plate will be damaged since most of Davidse dials are sandwich dial.

As far as I know, I don't see Davidsen offer white lume. But he has the light green one. I also have it but it does not match with the titanium case especially this case that I darken it too. I also have the green lume built to another Pre-V 009 and I will try to post it later.

i think it would be nice to have a see through back on it....to bad the movement is all covered up...other then that.....N I C E .....!
