Since I am pretty sure that my next watch will be Davidsen's 111h and since tc straps is having a huge sale right onw I figured I would save some $$ and get a strap in advance. Thing is I have no clue which one will fit the 111h since I figured Iw ould do my research after I buy the watch.

So can you guys help me out? Which ones are good straps to get? Please post pics if possible of tc straps you have. As I understand they are one of the best right? Any suggestions for various straps? Thanks guys.

EDIT: Wow TC Straps is overwhelming in their choices. I am thinking I would like a black with white stitching waterproof one and a camel/tan one.

Whats the difference between all the brands though? Is the TC brand any good? And whats the difference between the waterproof and regular ones with the same design? Do they feel different? Which ones are considered top quality soft etc... Also I believe Davidsen's PAM comes with a strap already but I assume it is not very good. But what about th buckle though. Will I be able to use the buckle that has the correct Panerai engravings somehow or do I need to buy a strap that is made specifically for Panerai's for it to look gen?

Follow your own advice and get a couple of straps from TC while the prices last. No one can tell you which ones to buy, just get the ones you like according to your taste. You will be glad you did.

I believe all of Elliot's straps that have buckles are the sewn-in variety, so if you want to re-use the Panerai engraved buckle from Davidsen, you'd be best off to order a strap without the buckle.

Also, I *think* OEM PAM rep straps are 24mm/22mm, whereas most of Elliot's straps are 24mm/24mm, so make sure you're ordering one with the correct size at the buckle end.

Having said that, I just use the sewn in buckles on most of my straps from E, even on the Ti PAM036 I have. No biggie, but if it matters to you, make sure of the size and order a buckle-less strap.

The highest quality straps E sells are the Giovanni e Figlio and the Mario Paci. Both are fantastic, but ANYTHING that TC Straps sells are very high quality and you won't be disappointed with any of them!

The waterproof straps are not as soft as some of the other straps initially, but they break in nicely. Also, they have a more "matte" finish on them, than other leathers, IMO.

Good luck, Elliot treats us well so take advantage of his generosity.

k thanks guys. So basically just get the sewn in buckle? Is it normal for people who own gen Panerias to have straps that don't have the appropriate engravigs on the buckle? Or are gen Panerai straps usually come engraved? Just making sure.

Also I need the 24/22 one? That means that it apers off towards the end of the strap right? Which is best to get?
Also I have no idea of the size of my wrist but I can tell you that on the Rolex YM bracelet I had to take 2 links off and move the micro adjustment to the second to last position. Hope that helps.

So which sizes and everything are correct and will work well with the PAMs. And also which ones should I get to have the gen look?

He has a kule yule 45% off coupon in another post....just copy and paste it. I think the strap Davidsen puts on his watches is 24mm at the buckle end so if you do want to use his buckle (and order a strap w/o one) get a 24/24 strap. If you order a strap from TC with a buckle obviously it doesn't matter. Good luck with your new watch :D :D

back to normal? I thought the prices on the site or constant but there is a 45% off coupon in the previous thread...

So guys I need one with a sewn in buckle correct?

Also he has a section that is just for Panerai Watches which doesnt include a lot of other straps and some of them dont have bluckles. Now how are those straps different from the ones in other sections?

And also can someone tell me the size I need for the Panerai from Davidsen 111h please? Also I would think that thicker is usally better right? So why are there 22/22 straps? Wouldnt it be better tog et the same one in 24/24? Any advice? Im really lost here and time is running out on the sale.

*EDIT* Any1 now which strap this is? I am looing for something similar. I want it to be a bit shiny but also in black with black sititching so you cant see it. Basically I shiny nice black one that can be worn formally. But also this one in the pic that is more casual but still looks good.

Maxse:

Let's see...if you get a strap from TC that is without a buckle sewn in, then you will need a 24/22 to use the Davidsen buckle...If you get a strap from TC with the sewn-in buckle then it will be 24/24.....

Given what you've said about your wrist size, it sounds like either the 115/75 or the 125/80 will be your best bet....depends on whether or not you like the strap to be a bit longer or not....I'm a two link guy and I use both sizes...

Big question on which strap to get is what you want to spend....the Mario Paci's are great but expensive...but if you don't think you'll change them a lot, I'd buy one.....otherwise I like the TC Siena's and Carpicco's (especially the distressed ones (I have the boudeaux and the tan both of which look great on the 111H)....I just got the honey tan buffalo on the Christmas sale which looks nice....

Finally, straps are personal...not everyone likes the same thing....so, go with what catches your eye...

hope this helps...

thanks guys. Looks like Im going with the sewn in bluckle 24/24 in 115/75. This should fit me right? Remember I take both links off but then also have to move the micro adjustment to the second smallest spot.

Yes the mario Pacci are a bit expensive. I dont want to spend more than $100 for a strap after the sale.
Its hard to tell how the straps look from the pics but I would like a similar shiny texture as on the pic that I posted but I would like it in all black. Any suggestions?

Also what is your opinion on these straps:

Havent seen much info on it but it seems shiny, but I have no idea how good it is or if it will hold up.

Not sure how the sharkskin looks though. Is it shiny like a real crock? Vasically I want to get one black shiny strap that can pass of for formal and informal. In addition I will have the ran one the Davidsen watch comes with, and I also want to purchase a SS bracelet for it. Also do you guys know where I can get theplastic Panerai strap and how much do they run? Thanks.

Also are the buckles in these straps made to look like gen? Do they have the right engravings? If not is it "normal" to have a gen panerai and have aftermarket straps with the buckles having no Panerai engravings on it?

That sharkskin strap is the ideal compromise between dressy and casual, IMO.

That eBay strap you posted is normal calf/cow leather stamped to look like alligator. In real life, you can usually tell right away that it is fake 'gator. The reason that strap is 24/22 is that it is designed to work with the Panerai deployant buckle which is 22mm wide. The strap will also get thinner at the end, so that it will fit inside the deployant, too.

I'd take advantage of the sale and get that sharkskin strap if it were me.

You should really measure your wrist, that's the best way to guage what strap length you'll need. My wrist is 7.5" and I need to get the 125/80 length, 115/75 is too short for me.

I have two sharskin straps from E. a blue one and today I just got a black one for my 232 Radiomir. It is a beautiful strap. Thick, soft and elegant. It looks awesome on the watch. Again, you cannot go wrong with anything from TC his straps are all tip top, just rely on your own taste. He has a good 45% off on everything right now which puts the prices in line with what he was offering for Xmas.

Thanks man. I alsmot bought that ebay one.

Is that strap you posted alligator?

Can someone please suggest a natural alligator strap (not stamped that looks fake) in a light brown color. Not deep burgundy but a much lighter one that is really shiny? Also I think it is best to get one for a regular buckle but without a buckle right so that I can put a nice rep buckle on it to say Panerai as opposed to blank right?

And lastly, how can I measure my wrist. Can a place like Tourneu do it free of charge?
