Kudos to Angus for "breaking the ice", but....IMNSFHO, these watches will 'settle down" into the mid $200.00 price range eventually...Just like everything else, the first owners will gladly pay way too much for that privelege....and bless their souls!!!...Remember the Pam 187's!!

I've been waiting patiently for this watch for sometime, but >$450 is too expensive. I hope that it settles down to the $200+ range. If you read RWG, it says that the rep factory bought the gen to copy 1:1. This cannot mean that a limited quantity is going to be produced - they need to recoup the gen as many times over as possible!

I paid $528 for my Swiss 127G + swannie nearly a year ago - then pin fix, C3, AR crystal, OEM strap ... :shock:

1 gen...the stainless steel version..do you knw how much ?? only 7500 in ebay dealers...or retail at 8500...

the Rg at $12500...or a little bit more for retail shops...

1 stainless steel is enough ...to make all 3 version ..and to sell the stainless steel version after copied...maybe ..100 piecs... they will get USD$45800

RG $478 x 100 = 47800

there is no issue for them to buy a gen...if i got all the equipment...ofcourse i will invest to buy a gen to copied 1:1...because you will get a lot more money in your investment account LOL

we wear reps..they wear gens..we put watches in a box ...they rip the gen off ..LOL

I agree...the price is a bit much...but I bought it anyways...
Basically from as much info as I could gather....the maker...took his gen and made a 1:1...
actually after the first prototype, he didn't think the glass curved enough and redid it to perfection...
this is a personal project and future generations aren't guaranteed....

i have an inside source and someone that i trust who is locked in to this particular project.
he told me the price will never go down because its from the same maker of the VC overseas
and has never lowered a price on a 1:1 project....
I have more info that i wish i could divulge...but I made a promise to keep certain trade
secrets a secret...so thats all i can say about this...

my suggestion is if u don't LOVE this watch then to wait it out and see if the price goes down...
for me...i've always loved the Turkish F1 Big Bang...only made a 100 worldwide and its a really
hot piece...they are also fixing the hr/min hands...in the pre-prod pics u'll notice that
the hr/min hands are gold, but after some research found out that even though the bezel
is rose gold, and the hr. markers are rose gold....the hr/min hands are steel...a bit weird i know...
but that is how the gen is...

I will definitely give a review of this watch once it is in my hands as well as pics...
I have never been more excited about a rep coming out...and its actually my
XMAS gift from my girlfriend...so no money out of my pocket....LOL

The rose gold is the turkish F1...its too damn cool for me not to buy...and yes maybe its
grossly overpriced....but c'mon this watch is reaching the $17,000 mark by collectors...
it retailed for $12,500 or so...but with only a 100 gens out there...u can understand why
the price is skyrocketing...
This watch is pushing the limits on REPs...i've never seen a dealer so excited about
an upcoming watch....its 99.99% accurate is the word on the street...
I don't care if the price drops to $200 + in 6 months (I don't think that will happen), I'm going
to enjoy this baby on my wrist ...i know its one of these watches that I will wear everyday...
All imperfections such as hr/min hands and caseback will be corrected by ship date...
I will be receiving mine a week from today...i'd love to have it by NYE...show this baby off!!

Just to keep my watch collection under control I will be selling some pieces off...i wish i had like
10 wrists...oh well

First off, this watch is not for me.

Secondly, the price is way too high. Anything else in Asian 7750 are in the mid 200 and why should this one be any different.

I also don't believe in the so call "Limited Production" sales pitch. The producer will simply make and sell as many as they can. Once the replicating costs are recovered, the following sales are gravy.
