Omega Planet Ocean RG & Rolex Sub Noob V5

Hey everyone

Just thought I'd share some pictures of my latest acquisitions..

Purchased from Chazingtime ..Excellent communication and sorted out all my QC issues without a fuss

On to the watches..

First up is something everyone is familiar with, the Noob V5 Sub. Only complaints are the (slightly) maligned SEL's and the poor finishing on the clasp.

This is my 2nd Noob V5 and as usual the quality although good, seems to be a bit hit and miss. My previous one just somehow feels better! A few minor issues like a crooked date cyclops if you peer hard enough etc. Both my V5 subs came with V4 clasps. *Shrugs

Overall still extremely pleased with this watch. Love the sub so much I have ordered a TC 16610LV!

In the process of saving for a gen AP so I'm glad I discovered reps to help fuel my constant need for new metal to play with!

The second watch I purchased is this lovely Rose Gold Omega Planet Ocean [emoji7]

I have been wearing it for a couple of days now and it is surprisingly wearable despite being almost full RG! I like how most people won't know what it is so no one is going to judge me on my "USD25k" watch.

The rubber strap is soft and one of the most comfortable straps I have ever worn!

Build quality isn't as good as the noob sub but it's decent enough. Workmanship on the hands could be a little better.. They look too wimpy and thin and finish isn't consistent. But overall the watch is solid and does the job of feeding my craving for a rose gold piece.

The PO does look nice. Careful with it as the RG comes off far too easily. I also don't like full display backs. I once did. Especially on certain PAM models. I've come around full circle on this. I like them on some Hamiltons and Tissot watches. Hand winds look great with that 17j movement usually.

I also agree about hit and miss with the 116610. It can be great but minor issues can be a pain.

Still it's nice of you to take some great photos, especially on the wrist.

What shall we have? An '82 Margaux! Is it any good? Good....?, It will make you believe in God!

Agree with jai04, that rose gold omega looks fantastic but would be too big for my wrist.
Sub is a beauty as well. Always wanted a rolex rep. I would probably get a GMT II instead.
