I am even more convinced to get the RG 15400 in black dial now, nothing beats it... Imo getting it x2AR might not even need it for this watch anymore.

I pulled the trigger for the a JF 15400 couple of days ago after seeing this review. took it full RG bracelet, and added a leather black strap with dip. buckle as extra, to have both, Jacob's will be hearing from me soon.

The RG 15400 black dial with bracelet is the business lol. I actually tried it out in one of the boutique here in Hong Kong just last week, and gosh that solid gold watch is extremely heavy!!

Wonder how much the rep with the gold bracelet is gona weigh.

Who is this Jacob person you guys get the straps from? Is he a TD on here, and if so, what is his shop name?

As a side note, do you think the strap is really that bad? To me it does look pretty crappy once you turn it over, but is the strap a large tell if you have it on your wrist?

Jacob is a guy who does custom built straps, but I also would like to tell you that an alternative option would be [MENTION=33943]SMP_lover[/MENTION]. he is a TD here, and will have gen leather straps for the JF at the end of the month. plus he is selling his own inserts, no need to send it to him to have it installed on the new strap.

and yes, hugeeeeeeeeee tell having a leather print on a synthetic strap.

Jacob is as close as youll get to OEM quality finishing. A true strap artisan.

Finally my QC pictures are here, already accepted the watch so if you see something with your super-developed mutant eyesight don't tell me , I can't tell from the pictures if the rotor is brushed or polished, guess it's just luck of the draw! I can't wait to have this baby on my wrist! Thank you all for the info an support!

Qc Pictures look great with nice rose tint, can I ask which TD you ordered from, the JF I'm looking at from chazingtime look more like yellow gold.. not sure if it's a new batch or just funny lighting but I want your watch.. haha

It depends on the light pic was taken. In some light it may look more yellow and in other light it may look more copper.

Gen 15400 RG are actually more yellow than those made by JF.
