I think more than anything else because the Rolex rep are the most sold in the world, and the submariner is an Rolex "icon" as the Daytona.
The factories will never make a perfect watch, because so often there is always someone who will buy what imperfect but slightly updated from the previous version...
It is no coincidence that many times when you made an improvement another detail is rendered less precise, but maybe in the previous version was perfect .... this is called marketing my friend LOL


And why this marketing "crook" .. Why they continue to operate that way, without selling a near perfect replica for the price they charge .. Just because people still buy into this approach and encourages do .. We buy their most requested models with imperfections rather than encourage neater models ..
Helped by some people on the forum criticizing those who criticize these watches by finding imperfections, and arguing that reply does not equal perfection ... Let's see, the most intelligent and well informed know that it is possible to manufacture a watch very close to the original model almost perfectly even at prices below $ 500, and a highly reliable movement.

Observation based on pictures:
- Lugs are definitely fatter
- Crown Guards are fat, they need to have a steeper curve
- Triangle @ 12 seems a little crooked - QC issue
- Hour markers "rings" are fatter
- Pearl is just the best rep I have seen
- SEL is tight but not recessed
- Bezel numbers are thin compared to gen and the color is still way off

Just like my thoughts.


I think that this insert is better than the current sub: the pearl and color of the paint of the numbers is more realistic than a noob. The Noob numbers "silver" are too silver, the gen color is more cream.

The height of the glass also is better than Noob sub.

Also the SEL are the best of all sub 116610 for now, the best bracelet, with the exception of the crown on the clasp.

This JF however has bad CG (should be filed), a bad crown...

But the ugliest I've found is the distance between the bezel ring and the end of the case on TSWATCH pics site .... very bad for me.

Dial the new "6.1" Noob is much better than this, however, IMHO

I call the sub updated V6, but in reality this is definitely wrong. It would be more accurate to call V5.1 since no dealer is aware that a V6 was ever released, they know that it was released just a V5 with updates on the dial about the space between 1000ft = 300m.

On what is called "dial V6.1" there are no confirmations yet, I personally have not yet seen the real picture of this, but should have the best indexes of the dial and a perfect application of light ... a kind of KH dial of Noob LOL

I have talked with several dealers, and many of them have asked me who had given me this' information, because they had not received any news of a V6.

Who that call at first this sub V5 as "V6" was watchbus, but he missed because it was an V5 updated only in the dial, only here on the forum after the news began to call him "V6" for no apparent reason

Look mate there is a noob v1 and v1 2014 v2 v3 v4 v5 and a v5 with a new dial that toro and the tds were etc calling the v6 that's it for now

Two dials you thought were gone:

-The first:

Which they called an updated V5 as "V6" , updated with the inscription 1000 ft = 300m with different space. Someone said that real innovation were the indexes of the dial, the SEL, and the crown on the clasp.

None of this was true .... the only real difference was the space between 1000ft = 300m.

-The Second:

Then someone on RepGeek spoke of a dial "6.1", with better indices but again none of this was true, there is no dial "6.1" with better indices ...

I realize that the dial with the space is not pictured on his site. But since he says he doesn't know of a new version it makes me wonder.
