Just got this FedEx package from StoneP yesterday (he'll need no introduction here) and man was I thrilled! It's my first 5513 with superdome and a gen gloss dial. Modded Cartel case, gen Swiss ETA2846 slow beat movement non-hacking, hands are relume/aged by Stone to match the dial's tritium which has aged to a nice almond color.

Can't blame me for bragging right? :)

I prefer my subs to be new, but that is a very cool watch.

Longing for more[emoji106]
It´s a beauty:)

Here we go...I softened the bezel teeth slightly so I think it's looking a bit less "off-the-lathe", using 9 micron polishing pad followed by 2 micron to being back some of that shine. I only wish I'd have the skill to slightly soften the case as well...

I also scratched up the case/crystal very lightly using the good'l "coins&keys in a bag" and then re-polished the Plexiglas with Polywatch.

What do you think?

Thx for the additional pics, it just looks brillant:) Use it and abuse it, I wouldn´t change anything else, there is always a thin line between improving a little bit and messing it up completely.
What I do like to do, after a couple of months, is to swap inserts between almost new and faded, as well as putting it on a NATO or Martu strap sometimes.

The best insert I have is this one, expensive but recommended; for experimening with fading get some much cheaper ones

That's a gilt dial right? GORGEOUS! I especially like the puffy lume!

Thanks for the tip on the insert!

I do intend to switch out the hands to TC's...I think they're more accurate?

And I did try it on a few natos that I have...the only one I feel works is a Bulang&Sons black leather nato. But I think I'll keep it on the Oyster bracelet for a while. There's something about Subs and the Oyster bracelet, it just works.

It´s a Rafflestime gilt dial and gilt hands relumed by me. Yours has those wonderful chapter rings, mine are just painted.
The hands on that 5513 are a perfect match with the dial, i´d leave it that way, TC hands will look artificially new I´d think.
