I've always assumed you'd need to remove the crystal ring and replace the gasket to achieve a watertight repair. Can you remove/replace the crystal without removing the crystal ring?

As long as you're careful not to crush the gasket when re-installing, it'll work fine.

On a gen Sub or SD I'd surely recommend a new one but on our reps it's not going to be a problem if you're careful. I've used the same gasket many times either replacing a crystal or re-centering a cyclops and never found it not to test OK to 5 ATM.

This is the response I got from TC:
"Those are not issues. That's how the rehaul is suppose to be. Check the pictures from my blog.
http://blog.tc-sub.com/"

Guess he won't be fixing it as I replied to that and it has been 10 days and not response.

Put the loop and highlighter back in the drawer and wear it, lol. Fix it, have someone fix it but TC probably won't even respond back for that. Read his disclaimer on his blog. Here is a portion:

"I have never claimed TC Sub a 1:1 rep. I said it is the best in quality I have found so far. Senior members identified my findings of TC Sub a WM9 legacy which was and still is priced way over my current rate. Members whom I passed these TC Subs to know its value and none came bargaining for a discount. We share a common goal - PURSUING the PERFECT SUB.

So don't come back to me complaining you found a flaw here and there or they are not 1:1 to gen so you want reimbursement. It's a cheap act and I won't accept that as I have never advertised TC Sub a 1:1 rep."

Told ya. Except he did respond, lol. Sorry.

You could sell that watch as is for what you paid for it and order another. Plenty of people would rather have it as is rather then wait two months.

You've got TC's signature in the rehault, make the watch even more special. Enjoy the watch, it's great. I have a noob v2 and I regulated the 2813 movement to +- 1 second variation in 24 hours. It's not gen, but I am ever so happy with it. It's personal. Waterproof an the right time are more important for me than a small flaw. The quality and the movement of a TC watch are exelent.

Send it to a modder. Don't touch it.
Or sell it like suggested above.
Actually, order another, wear this one till you get the new one in 60 days or more. Then sell the "flawed" TC.
I bet you will not be able to forget about it.

So I decided to send in my TC LV to PBDAD to fix the rehaut. Repair was done in less then a week. I couldn't be happier with his service. Below are a before and after of my Brand New TC LV that came with a dirty/rough rehaut.
