Is it just me, or do most all reps have a "look"

Ah, right. Thanks for setting this right. Then there probably is no rep of the Old Navitimer II, although it would not have the datewheel problem. At least aI've never seen a rep of this one. Why would I? I have the gen :laugh:

The 7753 reps were more common as were the 7754 (7750) layout, I know the 7753's were sunken as were some of the 7754's. I have no idea what is out today but yeah, nothing beats the gen.

Right now there is not even one Navitimer rep that I find attractive. For this series as well as UNs, Lange etc I totally agree with the OP that they have a "look". But easy to rep watches like many PAMs usually get really close to the gen. It's mostly the crystal and the strap that discloses their real origin on closer look.

Anyhow, there are also complicated designs that are really well repped like some AP ROO, in my opinion the Avengers and some IWC chronos.

I find that Gens have a glossy look that isn't fully there in the reps. The details are just much more crisp and refined. What do you expect for a copy usually 1/20th of the cost.

Fact is not everyone would have the minute details of a gen and rep right off their head if it's an uncommon model. Most don't even know what brands you are wearing let alone the small details. As for the glossiness, if you wear vintage pieces, I really doubt anyone would be able to tell even while inspecting

I went into an AD yesterday to look at some watches and tried on a black Navi world and I have to say the look and feel was virtually no different from my rep, which is a hell of a good copy. Uhre you should seriously think about it, here's mine.

Most of the TDs shouid be able to get this the BP Factory version. I think Ryan has them on his site ay intime, but make sure the spelling of Moscow and New York is correct on the caseback of versions you buy.

Very nice stang! I just picked up an interarms ppks last week myself!! Waiting for the spectre watch to be perfected so I can take both beauties to the range

The interarms guns are the best PPKs besides the German made guns. You have to be very mindful of the slide cause it will draw blood.

that was my first time at the range with it and I went back the next day and started bleeding everywhere. It was awful I had to shoot with a glove so I traded the PPK and bought this now it's my primary carry.

That's a Franken 5004 big pilot with gen dial. It's pretty damn spot on. Fit and finish is unreal.

I love it so I'm pretty sure I'll love with the slide bite. I do intend to buy a p99 as well when funds allow!

The slide bite is a female dog!! Get a thin bicycle glove for shooting that PPK and make sure keep your thumb low and you're ok. The P99c is a great carry gun but it's not all steel like the PPK so that was something I wasn't crazy about but it shoots better, it's more accurate, holds more rounds, and is not picky about what ammo I run through it which makes it more reliable in my book. The PPK has it beet in conceal ability but I'm in love with the P99.

that was with the large backstrap I switched to the small back strap and it fits perfect.

Are we talking about a CCW permit or maybe you're in law enforcement? I haven't been keeping up on the changes in the US as of late, but I've heard that concealed carry laws have gotten more relaxed in many states. What's the latest?

Massachusetts, California, and New Jersey seem to be the worst in the country and I live in MA hahaha. No I'm not in law enforcement but I do have a license to carry.

FiveO - i used to have a plastic pellet/bb gun of that p99 and i loved it. I was at my parents place the other day and found it. Made me want the real thing. Just dont know if i would like it more than a Barreta 92fs which is by far my favorite handgun. Anyways, hope all is well buddy
