Was wondering if anyone had tried to repaint the second hand on their LMPO? The watch is beautiful but the orange tip is a give away. Was hoping to get some tips from anyone who has done this or any experience painting hands. I'm reading that enamel paint would be the best bet, but am kind of clueless in terms of color matching. Any thoughts or experiences would be much appreciated. I used the search but couldn't find anything to help...

I was planning on doing the same thing. I am waiting for some more tools to come in before I take the watch apart. I haven't decided to repaint or buy a GEN omega second hand from OFREI with the red tip. I was just worried that the red tip on the GEN is not the same. Second option i'm looking at is ordering a couple of different "TESTORS" Brand enamel paints and using an oiler to apply. They have them on amazon for a couple dollars each. Good luck on whatever route you take.

I painted the tip of the second hand on my LMPO red. I went to the drug store and picked out some red fingernail polish that matched the red in Seamaster. The polish was a perfect match and it came with a brush to paint with. Remove the outer case back and inner antimagnetic cover. Remove the stem. There are 3 screws that hold the movement in the case, remove them. I put a piece of paper over the back of the watch to hold the movement in while I flipped the watch face up. Lift the case up leaving the movement. I cut a slot in a piece of paper to slip under the second hand to protect the dial from any polish. Let the polish dry and reverse procedure. The hardest part was putting those damn little screws back in the holders and into the movement. My screwdriver had become magnetic and nothing would stay in place.

Nice. Could you share some pics of the results?

Maybe a colorcode or brand of nailpolish?
Really want to do this to

Thanks for the follow up. Was looking at model paint but this might be simpler. Pics and a color code would be great!

Here's a couple pics of the watch and polish. It was just some cheap polish that I bought at Walgreens. I'll try to do a tutorial later.
